4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI was genuinely unsafe at this school. Admin/office staff were incredibly rude and unhelpful as a new student. While I had my fair share of good teachers, library staff & coaches were quite bold to insult a 14-yo new student and ignore bullying.I was being threatened with group physical and cyber violence; no action was considered for my safety. Classes were rambunctious and teachers were often “left to the wolves” and without any help from admin. Much of the school was not clean or kept up. Teachers were not given resource or guidance for students that could not speak English, but rather deferred them to other peers. Fights were often between students. I could not keep attending nor let my rising freshman little brother attend. Only positive experience I remember is the athletics; coach on the swim team was an awesome lady & I received a lot of encouragement and support as a shoo-in. Weightlifting was also big there, and also nice people.Other Review5mo ago7 Reviews - Lillington-Shawtown Elementary

"There are great places to eat in Lillington and surrounding areas. The River is beautiful and plenty of activities to do around Raven Rock and the River kayaking "

"My neighborhood is basically a retirement community and not many families. I’m always afraid to let my kids play or for the dogs to be too loud. Neighbors are obsessed with their lawns and constantly spraying chemicals."

"Great walking, always see my friendly neighbors. We don’t have puppy poopy bag stations, so we have to carry dog poop around. Lol. Very welcoming to dogs. "

"Easy to get in and out of major areas. Heading south to Fayetteville is a pain sometimes. Easy routes to Raleigh and Southern Pines"

"The area is for the most part dog friendly. We don’t have any dog parks. We have a very good veterinarian hospital in our town."

"30 minutes pretty easy only one real light that can hold you up traffic at peak times just like anywhere else 6-9am and 4:30-6:30 pm are the times it is the longest waits at intersections "

"Quiet neighborhoods, usually active duty or retirees. Traffic isn’t extremely congested like Fayetteville. But, both Raleigh and Fayetteville are only an hour drive or so."

"As someone that has actually lived in this neighborhood for a couple of years now, my family loves this neighborhood. How can you top a neighborhood that has 24/7 security, a golf course, lakes, clubhouse, swimming pool, playgrounds, lots of trees, planned community activities and lots of kids? I feel very safe here and can not imagine living anywhere else."
