3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating Averagethe current state of restroom availability at Brewer High. Recently, it has become increasingly difficult for my niece and students to find open restrooms during the school day. More specifically, I have noticed that almost all restrooms are consistently locked during the early morning hours before classes begin. I understand that the school may be facing maintenance or supervision challenges, but locking all facilities in the morning is not a sustainable solution. My niece has complained many times about this issue. This is a HEALTH issue. She can’t even go during passing periods due to the short amount of time and no availability to the restrooms. The staff have horrible attitudes not to mention the clear backpack policy next year?! Might aswell turn these kids into prisoners since they want to treat them this way!Parent Review1mo ago12 Reviews - Brewer Middle School

NAGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageDuring class students are allowed to hit each other. My daughter was repeatedly slapped on the butt buy other students. She would report it, fill out a report just for it to keep happening. My child does not feel safe going to school and that is not a learning environment. The science teacher sits at her desk on her phone. Doesn’t teach or explain, just assigns work on the computer that barely explains the subject. I’ve done some of the assignments with my child, they are sad and don’t teach a whole lot.Parent Review1y ago9 Reviews - Check out schools near Adell St.

"Not much to say, small town vibe on the middle of large cities. Decent jobs just gotta look for em. Community comes together every now and then with events so that’s a plus. It’s a good place for sure just have to like small towns "

"Great place to raise your children. Don't really have to worry about them. The people are very nice to. My children live walking down to Central Park to meet there friends and play and I'm never scared about if they are ok or not. I want to continue to live in this area. We feel safe here."

"You see stray or dumped dogs frequently and people do not seem to teach their dogs basic ‘manners’. Dogs will come at you or your leashes dog aggressively and without being leashes themselves. Other dog owners will specifically use neighboring front lawns for their dogs’ business and with leashed dogs will allow the animal to be in control so there are many fight close calls and potential incidents invoking cars."

"This neighborhood is no different than any other American neighborhood. The only unique thing about it is that it is by an air base, so on top of everything you constantly have to listen to jets which you think couldn’t possibly get any louder, and then you realize you’re wrong, over and over again. It literally sounds like they’re falling out of the sky sometimes."

"There’s a lot of noise, lot of construction, kids yelling, dog fights, arguments, etc. Typically one wouldn’t walk around at night but the crime right isn’t AS bad as people think. Lot of drug addicts but that’s not unique in America"

"Everyone has dogs and cats and we love them, I think the reason we don't see a lot of people walking their dogs because we all have big back yards!"
