1/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageAs I'm sure you can tell through the ratings, below-average scores on everything. And I'm not implying that the students are all at fault. The effort is just not there, and it further causes the students to be unmotivated as well. The homework approach is apparently non-existent according to the students, and as I've personally experienced, the students are not encouraged to have good behavior or grades. The monitoring of student behavior and bullying is also flat-out bad. There is just absolutely no motivation or improvement within this school, and I wish this would change. Over half of the student population is low-income, which should signal MORE efforts and improvements towards the school, but the only the opposite is observed. So for now, I do not recommend this school at all. I would like to see some big changes. And I am also familiar with one of the students in particular who hasn't been receiving the right approach towards his education, therefore making him very unmotivated and indifferent about his education. Personally, I realize how important education is, and though this rating may seem harsh, I hope to spread some awareness about the underlying flaws of this school, and how detrimental they are to these young students in the long run. In addition, people with mental disabilities (no matter how small) have constantly not been given the right attention, which is because of very poor leadership (whether it be amongst teachers or higher staff). Real empathy and care between students and teachers have practically died at this school, which makes the atmosphere (and the school as a whole) a melancholy, sad place. For example, students with ADD or ADHD may feel devalued due to their failing efforts to improve in their education, but the fundamental poor leadership at this school, as well as the lack of adaptable teaching methods, makes many students feel at fault. The students should never feel at fault for a careless school such as this one, and overall, I am worried about Vineland Senior High School's future. I am constantly baffled by the carelessness of this school, and with the student exam grades, I am unnerved that changes are not being consistently tried and/or made. I really hope that people will see the importance of supporting schools like these, especially for low-income families, because education is just so important. And sloppy schools such as VSHS make it so hard for the students overall. Please look into your schools' flaws.Other Review4y ago3 Reviews - Veterans Memorial Int School

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageDr. John H. Winslow School is the place you want you children to go and learn and grow. Although strict with discipline you know your children are safe there. The teachers are amazing, caring and well versed on curriculum and current research. They have a school wide positive support system where kids visit the school store monthly with points they earned from each month. They can even save up the points for bigger rewards. My daughter just loves her teachers and the staff.Parent Review11y ago3 Reviews - Johnstone Elementary School

3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageIf it were possible to give a 1/4 of a star I would. Worst experience EVER. Teachers assistant said my son was "unteachable"! Tear programs are a waste of time and money because the program doesn't allow you to put your child where he needs to be to learn at that moment. Teachers hadn't a clue how to handle a child with ADHD. My son had to repeat K at Johnstone Elementary School where he had an educated team of teachers that TAUGHT him. Thank God! If you want a generic education then send your kid to Sabater!Parent Review11y ago1 Reviews - Dr. William Mennies Elementary School

"The dog park is nice and frequently in use. Across from the dog park is Giampetro park which has concerts in the summer of usually cover bands. My neighborhood in East Vineland is mostly vegetable farms. It‘s quiet and has very low traffic noise. A couple times a year it can smell bad due to manure in the farm fields. I feel safe here day and night."
