6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI transferred here from another school to find a better fit for me and I love it. My old school had very defined levels of social status and coming here makes me feel more normal. The teachers are nicer and actually help you when you have questions and the students aren't judgmental like my old school.Student Review5y ago8 Reviews - Daybreak Middle School

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThe staff, parents, and admin are amazing! The school climate is improving, curriculums are changing, and kids enjoy coming again. We have a robotics club, volleyball, track, and a magic club. Students with a variety of needs are supported at our school, which does reflect lower test scores, but those students are valued and taught by an amazing team of teachers! Since when do test scores reflect the abilities of all students anyway? I see amazing growth among my students every single year. Since I've been teaching at Daybreak students have become more respectful toward their peers compared to when I started. All middle schools deal with bullying in different ways and although it can occur, it doesn't have to persist. All teachers have made it a point to teach character traits that will help students become better citizens. I'm proud of my school and I love teaching at Daybreak. "Not sure, but sometimes there are a few dog owners that don’t pick up their dog poop and that is disguising. So maybe that would be something certain dog owners would enjoy. That they would fit in. Other than that, i am not sure what else any dog owners would enjoy. I don’t have any pets or any dogs so I would not know what else I could say about that "

"Puppies are walked all the time. Almost everyone has a pet of some kind. People are respectful of leash laws and don’t let their furry friends wander the neighborhood unaccompanied."

"It is advertised as pet friendly, but if you apply to view or talk to staff you will be denied because you have pets. It will also show you that pets are not allowed on the link. False advertising and extremely misleading information. Would not recommend for pet owners. "

"The commute to Portland is horrific. If you live here you should work here and not across the river unless you enjoy activities like slowly poking yourself in the eye with a sharp stick. If you are working anywhere in West Vancouver (including downtown) I would say it’s a pretty quick trip. "

"I work from home so it’s not a big deal. Tough place if you work in downtown Portland. Rush hour is brutal. "
