4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageBased on these untrue rankings, I moved my family to be in the school district. It has evolved into a really unpleasant scene. I cannot agree with the rankings that it receives. There are metal detectors, the campus is closed which means that any freshmen or software who leaves and comes back is subject full search This includes their clothes! Their backpack their lunches. Everything. Fully armed police walking the campus and pull kids out of class for random searches at the office causing the kids to miss class and live in fear. There is also paid security who lacks professionalism. Despite all of this there are many, many fights here. One Friday there were three fights in a day and the following Monday there were two more fights these were not minor skirmishes, these were huge brawls with multiple huge kids fighting that had teachers getting thrown off and security getting thrown off When they tried to break it up and all of this Right in the middle of the main common area. Drugs are rampant so your kid can't even even go to the bathroom because the stalls are full of kids doing drugs, with security and the police coming in and looking in the stalls when kids do try to go to the bathroom. I spoke with the principal and The superintendent of the district. The administration response is to just clamp down more. There are so many kids that have been tossed into juvenile court for offences, And the court is about 45 minutes away, so they just gave a juvenile officer a permanent office inside the school to meet with the kids who are on probation. Because there are so many. What can your child learn in this situation? Just think about it before you enroll here. Literally move somewhere else if you need to Find a better school.Parent Review1y ago6 Reviews - Twality Middle School

"A solid lower to upper middle class neighborhood to raise your kids in. Close to all the entertainment and enrichment Portland offers, while still feeling like a quiet neighborhood. "

"The events at cook park like the 4th of July event, movies at the park event, and the music festival at the park are really nice. It’s an amazing park overall as well! Clean and lots of paths to walk around on. "

"There are plenty of dog parks and walking spaces for dogs. Most pet owners are responsible. I like dogs and cats and deer and frogs."

"Good and safe neighborhood for families. Interesting range of different house styles. There are not any regular events directly in the neighborhood. The neighborhood is well placed for access to different stores and services. But a vehicle is required to get to them. "

Which Does Bring a Good Mixture of Economical & Socially & culturally Combined families that Does Bring A Good harmony to Having a Peaceful City to Raise children & For Employable Prospects as well within All levels of Professional Employment. Sherwood , Directly Outside of Tigard, as well as Beaverton OR. Both are Very Good Ranked Cities In the Portland Surrounding areas. Which Both have been Ranked nationally within the 10 best places to Move to. As Sherwood has become Much Larger and Very Swanky … little Cool Independently owned businesses which do support The City itself to continue to grow and Become Very Much A Contender With Any of the bigger cuties around Portland. "Easy walking distance to the library, downtown Tigard, a weekly farmers market, a dog park, lovely trails along Fanno Creek, a skateboard park and and public transit. This is a safe community with respectful neighbors. We thought this would just be a starter home, but still here 14 years later. We enjoy it here a lot! "
