6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy daughter attended this school for kindergarten and first grade. In both cases she had excellent teachers who had to manage a lot more students than they should. Regardless, both teachers excelled and provided my student with the extra attention and support she needed. My kiddo is an anxious one, and a quick text or email to the teacher always resulted in the extra attention (sometimes she just needs a hug!) she needed to feel safe, loved, and ready to learn.Academically, my student received everything she needed! Speech therapy, star reading class, and probably one other specialty program I'm not recalling. Would I like more special attention for my student? Yes, but what she received was enough to improve all of her test scores and keep her at grade level despite her unusually stressful home circumstances. Really can't say enough good things about every teacher and faculty member we interacted with here. Big shout outs to Thorne and Gonzalez, both of whom are excellent teachers.Parent Review3y ago3 Reviews - Syracuse Jr High School

4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageOverall, this school is just okay. Anyone can see that it's an old school, and most things are run down including air conditioning, bathrooms, drinking fountains, lockers, etc. The halls don't smell very good, and that hasn't changed at all in my 2 years of attending... But besides that, the overall teaching environment is decent. Obviously, no teacher wants to teach a bunch of early teenagers who are chronically online, but I think all the teachers here genuinely put in effort for the students. Sometimes teachers can be rude or confusing, but for the most part it's pretty good. Personally, I haven't seen too much bullying, but there definitely is some here, especially towards special needs kids and "weird" kids.I definitely think the school counselors could do a better job in helping EVERY student, not just some. Personally, I don't feel very seen or known by my school counselor, so that could for sure be worked on.Overall, Syracuse Jr. High offers a lot of unique classes and has a decent teaching environment, but the school itself could use a hugeeeeeee upgrade.Student Review1y ago13 Reviews - Syracuse High School

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageAs a military member, my family has had to move 7 times since my kids were born and have dealt with a wide variety of school experiences. This school has been one of my kids favorite schools. Teachers have been more fun and engaging than at most schools and the school works to involve parents as needed. There is some minor bullying, but nothing beyond what is typically experienced at most schools. The school has also been great at working with my son’s 504 and ensured he has gotten the accommodations he needs.Parent Review2mo ago4 Reviews - Check out schools near 1395 S 2500 W.

"Dog friendly neighborhood! Local parks are nice on Sunday mornings too! This neighborhood has some serious echo to it though so barking travels far."

"in my opinion Syracuse is the nicest city in Davis/Weber counties. far from the noise and business of Hill AFB and Salt Lake City. however only 10 minutes from Base, and 30 min from the city. so close to everything. its clean, friendly, welcoming. great for families/kids. best value by far. "
