2/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThe teachers care about their students. The principal is involved every day. She goes over and above to make sure the teachers have the curriculum, supplies, and materials needed to create fun and engaging lessons. She knows every kid's name and says hi when they pass by. This year she was able to get a guest teacher once a month to teach the whole school cool science lessons, Mr. Science. She also got a guest presenter, Joe Wos, to teach Cartooning and Storytelling. I would recommend this school to anyone looking to give their kids a great learning experience.Teacher Review4y ago2 Reviews - Montgomery High School

7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI am a student in my Sophmore year and have wished to transfer almost the entirety of both years. The school smells of vape and marijuana constantly, and there have been several students getting drunk and high on campus. I am physically disabled, and, although I am personally able to traverse campus easily, it sometimes feels as if the school has done the bare minimum to be accessible. The SpecialED program is horrendous from what I've seen. A few of the staff in it have absolutely zero discipline and just allow the students to get away with anything unless the behavior reported to a different staff member via student. The other students are definitely the main issue in my experience. The classrooms are basically run by them. You can't go a single class without hearing slurs being thrown around or some sort of joke about sexual assault or "being spED" or just general disrespect to teachers and staff. There have been so many students who just straight up refuse basic requests from the teacher to their face. The bullying is rarely physical but there is plenty of it to and from both staff and students. Most of the teachers are fine, if not really good. I loved Ms. Peakes and Mrs. Clark and respect most of the other teachers I have had. Despite that, there is a good portion of teachers that are very passive aggressive or just straight up rude and will yell and curse every class... though with how some students act, I can't entirely blame them. The substitutes are AWFUL; my freshman year had at least 6 subs that had to be fired due to racism or showing adult content. The teachers/staff are very often absent; we've had waves of up to 24 or more absent around every month. Althought I believe these staff deserve breaks and sick days, the substitutes don't teach and if they aren't on their phone, they're probably being offensive.Overall, the school feels very unprofessional and unaccepting, mostly due to students, and the teachers are very poorly funded (especially classes like Ceramics).Student Review5mo ago7 Reviews - Learning House

"I always see people walking their dogs on leash in the neighborhoods. There are breed restrictions to keep in mind. I wish apartments & landlords were more open to larger breeds "

"Backcountry roads winding through wine country. Half an hour morning commute double that coming home because of all the work trucks, cement mixer trucks, heavy dump trucks, farming equipment and clueless tourists. "

"Dog owners don’t pick up their waste. Usually, the smaller the dog the less likely the owner thinks they should be a good person. Completely unacceptable."

"i lived in this neighborhood for years. parking is a mess because no one uses their garage for cars. the houses are cheaply made and in terrible condition. it is a very safe neighborhood. there are stray cats everywhere to keep the rodent population under control. great location if you like to walk. "The neighborhood is great, but the number of young families is diminishing. Cost of housing is too high for most young families. This is not good for sustaining good elementary schools and child-friendly spaces. Hope things turn around quickly or this area will be a 55+ community soon."

"Our area is nice, pretty clean and good schools. We had fires 5 years ago, the likelihood of it happening here again is pretty slim. Excellent grocery store, an a few restaurants and good stores. We have lived here for about 7 years. We have no desire to move. Also it easy access to freeway and shopping centers. And hospital and medical clinics. Farmers markets every Wednesday and Saturday. Excellent area for families and friends. 100 words are hard to come up with."

"Welcome to Casa Del Sol! We are a pet-friendly, family-based community where everyone, including dogs, enjoy taking a walk in beautiful Casa Del Sol. Our neighbors who own dogs help to protect it's beauty by leashing their pets and cleaning up after them. I can't think of one thing to not like!"
