STEELE LANE IS THE BEST ELEMENTARY SCHOOL IN SANTA ROSA!!! I've been a Steel Lane parent for 8 years. The teachers truly love their jobs and their students. The teachers and staff make you feel like family. Steel Lane offers free Boys and Girls Club five days a week, is a Pathways School and has many opportunities for parents to get involved. I absolutely feel my children are safe and wouldn't send my children to any other school.

My child is in their first year at ArtQuest. They used to have the worst school refusal problem. But they look forward to going to school now. They are happy and enthusiastic about learning and pushing themselves. The ArtQuest Theater program is very serious for these young students. I'm very proud of the amazing work that they've done. The creativity and stewardship of the senior ArtQuest students, as they welcome and lead the younger students, just entering the program, is a lovely way to "pass the baton" and create a sense of belonging, hopefulness, community building, nurturance for one another, and leadership. It's amazing. Also worth noting: there's no bullying at this school. Or very little. My kid was bullied horribly in their last school. This school made sure that they had a popular nice kid, showed them around, and made sure that they never sat alone at lunch when they first arrived. That is amazing. Just an amazing way to grow humanity and caring in these kids. Also, the campus is STUNNING!!! It's a classic beauty. Used in movies, and it looks like it! Going to high school here is a bit of the ideal American high school experience.

Amazing school. Both of my children had a great experience with great teachers who cared about them and their success. There was a diverse school population that emulates real world experiences and interactions.
