5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThe absolute worst school ever!! I use to think that giving a school an F rating was unfair. This school deserves the F grade it received, mainly because of it's leadership!Parent Review8y ago3 Reviews - Glen View Elementary School

NAGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis school district is not for us. You can watch them on the playground as a large child will mow down a tiny one and pin them down and nothing will be done about it. One of my children got punched in the face twice going down a slide by a kid trying to knock him off of it. My other child would come home scraped up from being shoved down. I watched in carline as he was being shoved around by a very large child. When I said something I was told that they didn't see the pushing. My kid was shoved so hard one day that his water bottle in a silicone sleeve was knocked out of his bag and shattered. A teacher scolded him in front of the class saying it was his own fault for having an allergic reaction to something he didn't know he was allergic to yet after I reminded her that he had a doctor's note saying not to give him food. He said he was afraid he would be rude to not accept the treat they were repeatedly offering in that situation. The district is obsessed with selling kids candy to raise money to buy candy and sodas for teachers and constantly use candy bribes with young children as motivation. We had none of these issues in the school district we had moved here from.Parent Review2y ago13 Reviews - I.A. Lewis School

"The lack of dog parks. There aren’t many places to take your dog for excessive or play time. Also walking dogs in the sidewalk is also sketchy. Some of the sidewalks end at random points. "

"Good neighborhood, I’ve been in Ruston for about two and a half years. It’s a lot of college kids but parties aren’t rampant like you would think, they mostly happen in fraternity houses. Where I live is quiet and nice, with a lot of new construction. Roads are pretty bad but other than that it’s a nice place to live."
