4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis school was amazing and it shows in the fact that only 2% of teachers are first year which means one in fifty. If you look at the other reviews, the one star reviews are written by parents who have never actually taken a class there. The school has an active community service club that actually helps the community and has another community service club that helps those with special needs and raises awareness. In fact the California scholarship federation did a joint project with the other two community service clubs to bring up issues regarding special needs students at the district board meeting. Some of the parents are talking about "safety issues" but i have never had a problem with this. In fact many students are actively protective of each other including those that they don't know. I currently go to the 26th best high school in texas but i much rather prefer la sierra high school as the people understand what hardship is. People are cognizant of what society means and how it supports the individual which is in direct contrast with my current school. The best part is that the "bad apples" want nothing to do with the "smart people" so it provides a social barrier.Student Review11y ago2 Reviews - Loma Vista Middle School

"It’s a good neighborhood for dog owners. Cat owners freely let their cats outside during the day so keep in mind a cat might be owned even if they are outside alone. I usually keep my dogs on leash but I’ve seen trained dogs walk with their owners without a leash and they are usually tamed."

"All dogs need to be on leash at all times. Mostly for those living in apartments and townhomes. There are dog stations in just about every corner through our with a local dog park"

"I live in an apartment complex in La Sierra and although the property is dog friendly, not everyone picks up after their dogs. Unfortunately, that is probably true everywhere you go."

"There is room to walk the dogs, especially in residential areas. I would say that we do not really have dog parks but there are some parks that you can enjoy on leash. I have been uncomfortable a few times walking the dog when other neighbors are walking off-leash."

"If there was a place that has poop bags for dogs while walking at every corner or every block to be able to pick up the poop if let’s say we dog owners ran out of poop bags or forgot to buy some "

"Close to work, and walking distance from many stores! My family is insured through Kaiser group and it’s down the street! The area is also strategic, evenly close to LA, San Diego, San Bernardino, and Corona, where most my friends and family are located!"

"This area is a mix of mainly residential and some small businesses with a sprinkle of big corporate grocery stores and gas stations. Most people seem to keep to themselves except for the occasional neighbors that go out of their way to be extra neighborly like Ned Flanders "

"There is a growing homeless population. The area is not bad, and the homeless people seem to be harmless, but at least near the hills and freeway one will see a lot of homeless people. Inside the actual residential neighborhoods it doesn’t seem so bad. "
