9/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI have a 9th grade student at Shasta High. The course offerings are amazing. From engineering, medical CTEs, to AP offerings, he almost couldn't decide what to take first. He loves all of his classes and teachers, who are all very supportive, knowledgeable and kind. He has joined sports and many clubs and has made friends immediately (I was worried because he didn't come from one of the normal feeder schools). 3 of his courses are also dual enrollment courses so he is earning college credits as a freshmen. I know people talk about Shasta as having a more diverse demographic, but the school admin is strict and extremely on top of things. Sadly, most of those students don't make it past the first semester anyways. My son feels supported, safe and challenged academically. Fabulous school. Also, check out their school state test scores and AP scores- you'll be amazed at how high performing Shasta is! Top performing school in Shasta County, including over U-Prep!Parent Review4mo ago4 Reviews - Sequoia Middle School

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis place absolutely sucks. Unless you want your child to end up in a mental hospital, & lose their will to live, don't send them here. My child got sexually harassed FIFTEEN TIMES by two male students, & the school didn't do anything about it. Seriously, unless you hate your kids, & want them to become suicidal, get bullied constantly, plus sexually harassed for being themselves, then I have four words for you; DON'T. SEND. YOUR. KIDS. HERE.Parent Review11mo ago13 Reviews - Turtle Bay School

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageShocked by some of these negative reviews. Turtle Bay has been nothing short of amazing for my kids. You will not find a better school in the area. The teachers work so hard to make the kids successful and the administration genuinely cares about the students, parents, and staff. Can't say enough good things about the school, the teachers, the office staff, and the principal. Just keep doing what you do Turtle Bay!Parent Review8y ago13 Reviews - Check out schools near 2430 Snow Ln.

"We live out in the country, we have 3 1/2 acres and electric fencing. We have a security gate. But we can be at the movies or Macy’s in 9-10 minutes. Parents should know to keep their children, pets and home safe with cameras and ADT."

"I lived in this neighborhood for 7 years. The only thing that unique was there is only one-way in & one-way out. So people don’t usually come up here unless they live here or are visiting. Seems to be a safety perk. "

"Anywhere in Redding is approx 15 minutes. Car thefts are high. Theft in general is high. Beautiful city. We moved here in 1991 and the parks were safe for kids. Now, kids come upon syringes etc. making it unsafe. The homeless problem is horrible as they steal and are at every corner begging for money. I’m so looking forward to leave this city after retirement. Mount Shasta and SHASTA lake are nearby. Mt Lassen is also close by to the East. Beautiful areas for hiking. "
