6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI noticed many of these reviews were older, especially the negative ones, so I thought I would give an updated review. I am currently a junior at BR. Since even the latest review, many changes have been made. The school has brought technology into the classroom in the form of online textbooks, no longer needing to lug books to school, and classroom sets of iPads and Chrome Books. Now, starting from freshmen year, you have the option to choose from over 50 courses. Unfortunately, the had to eliminate our study period from the schedule in order to do so, but study is available as an elective. BR is known around the state for having some of the best athletic teams, but we also have other after school options which includes a robotics team that competes nationally, and a very well regarded spring musical program. The school is relatively new. The teachers, like with any school, vary. (It's all a matter of personal opinion.) My class (2016) has some of the best standardized test results in the state, so obviously, we are learning and have credible academics. I know many people, and hopefully myself in a couple years, who are proud to call themselves BR graduates.Student Review11y ago3 Reviews - Mitchell Elementary School

NAGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy experience is bad. The school has no support for black students. They racially profiled my 6 year special needs son. Aweful school for black kids. 4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThe ratios listed are incorrect. There are 25+ kids in each class and with all the residential building happening in town those numbers are going higher and will be 30+ in 2019-20. The town isn't able to meet the requested budget so there will be no new staff added, no new books. The district is struggling.Parent Review7y ago3 Reviews - Bridgewater Middle School

"Great neighborhoods. Schools need some help-funding. Special education needs addressing. Great hiking and fishing spots. Farms for ice cream in the summer!"

"They have a Christmas lighting in the center of town. They also have regular town meetings. They hold celebrations for every holiday. Police are very active to keep the town safe. The school district is excellent for the neighborhood children. All around Bridgewater is a great town to live in."

"There are many neighborhoods but lately overdevelopment. It’s getting very crowded and schools are full. Plus we now have migrants moving here and living in hotels in the next town. "

"The commute tends to be horrible. Lots of traffic, out dated roads. Everyone is speeding and in a hurry causing frequent accidents. I wish there were more access of ways to commute. "

"There’s plenty of great trails to walk and plenty of like minded dog-lovers. Great local veterinary options and an emergency vet minutes away. "

"Great neighborhood, I lived here my whole life for the last 22 years, the only thing that gets annoying is the traffic up town because of the university and it can be expensive to buy home here besides that it’s a nice and safe place to live."
