Texting me your simple details is easiest for me. How many adults, kids, dogs cats, giraffes, what you do for employment, your favored lease length, ect. No drugs, non smoking, boring, law abiding, law enforcement friendly, and respectful, is what we're looking for. Standard background checks will be performed. If you have a current LIVE Scan available, or proof of military clearances, are big bonus'.

Located in the middle of Archie Moore's old property and his "Salt Mine" Boxing Camp. The pad for his pools, 2 homes and boxing ring still rests under the 350 year old coastal oak trees. Your back yard and cultasac is the indoor training ring Mohamed Ali nick named the "Bucket of Blood", and is detailed in both of Archie and Mohamed's, World Champion Boxing Biography books. George Foreman trained and learned to box in these hills, along with numerous other world class boxers and Navy Golden Gloves over the years. The back yard and rest of the acreage is a resort with a waterfall that can put you to sleep at night. Mt Woodson Country Club, the "Million Dollar Golf Course Bridges", along with the Mt Woodson Castle is down your private drive. World class rock bouldering is at your fingertips in the front and back yards. The widely known, Mt Woodson Hiking Trail and Potatoe Chip Rock is a 5 minute drive away, or a hike down the back yard, with the Iron Mountain Hiking trail head 10 minutes down the road. You can hike directly to Potato Chip Rock from your back door, the Grass Land Preserve is around the corner and also hike able from your door, where a pair of Golden Eagles migrate in from Alaska to breed every year. The micro climate is like no other in Southern California. 360* of seclusion, and 80 acres of coastal oak trees surround you. The coastal marine layer often rolls past the back window in the evenings, through your canyon, as the photos show.

3 juvenile night time owls are a stones throws away to keep you company and sing you to sleep. Neighborly, pet chickens and organic eggs are a short walk across the way. Open access to a private tennis court may be available as well, if thats your thing.

Mt Woodson Elementary School is biking distance for a 5th grader, and ranks 9 out of 10 in the state. Poway's, In-n-Out Burger, Costco and Home Depot are 12 minutes away, yet you're in the middle of the "Ramona Valley Vineyard Association" on the "West End" on your own private ranch with 100'snof open acres surrounding you. Commuting is a breeze compared to down town Poway or down town Ramona because there are no stop lights to contend with in the morning on Hwy 67. 1 stop light gets you Scripps Poway Parkway, and 7 more miles gets you to the 15 Freeway. It is the ideal commuting location to Qualcom, General Atomics, Claremont, Kearney Mesa, NAS Mira Mar Base, Mira Mesa, La Jolla, Sony, the Apple Campus, or north to Escondido and those hospitals and buisness parks.

Optional RV, Trailer or Boat parking is available, but not included . Horse amenities are available as well. The round pen can be seen in the helicopter arial image.

It's a property that most folks spend a lifetime of work and a career to be able to retire in. We'd like to share it with you. It truly is God's country, and the very place a ridiculously wealthy, World Champion, Light Heavy Weight Boxer (1952-1963), Archie Moore decided to call home. He could have lived anywhere in the world as he traveled to Paris, Peru, London and South America to fight in the late 1950's, yet, he chose this property to call home and to train on.

I think I've layed it on thick enough, come take a gander for yourself, Ill give you the tour...

Come, stretch out, take your shoes off, your home.

In the pictures, the home that is for rent is located on the second floor, very similar to a town home layout. A separate, private, and fenced, side entrance, and private parking leads to the private entrance to the guest home on the second floor, and is out of sight and out of mind in this secluded bit of heaven.

Approximately 5-10 minutes drive to Poway Farmer's Market (held on Saturdays), Trails, DMV, Post Office, Shops, Restaurants, Movie Theaters, Pomerado Hospital and Palomar Medical Center.

Approx. 10-15 minutes drive to Poway Business Park: General Atomics, Sysco San Diego, Geico Corp Office, Teledyne RD Instruments, Costco Wholesale and Home Depot, Lowe and Westfield North County Mall.

Approx. 15 minutes drive to Rancho Bernardo Business Park: Apple Campus, Sony Electronics, General Atomics Aeronautical Systems, Petco Headquarters and more. Great hiking to Lake Poway, Iron Mountain and Mount Woodson's Potato Chip Rock.

Approx. 20 minutes drive to Highland Valley Vineyards for Wine Tasting, Safari Park

Approx. 25 minutes drive to Palomar Health/ Medical Center Escondido, or south to Qualcomm HQ

Approx. 30 minutes drive to SD International Airport, Sorrento Valley, Rady Children's Hospital, Sharp Memorial Hospital, Fashion Valley and Westfield Mission Valley Malls, Del Mar Racetrack and the Beaches.

"It’s a safe environment for everybody and it’s clam and nice here no crazy stuff around here at all "
  • Marcella.t90
"Everyone knows everyone. Teach your kids respect and kindness. It goes a long way! Since it’s not easy to get places. Most kids have motorized scooters or bikes. Please teach the safety like wearing a helmet and not cutting cars off or speeding with them. We don’t want them to get hurt!"
  • Dianne M.
"Family friendly, great neighbors! We get occasional visits from wild turkeys, peacocks, owls and perrogine falcons. We have a mated pair of hawks, that we have watched raise babies since 2009! In the spring we get migrating Monarchs and Moutain finches. You can see the milky way most nights. Lots of town events, like the Rodeo and Fair. Ramona has a community Halloween event, and most of the town trick or treats on main street. They have activities for the 4th of July and Christmas. There are easy hiking trails like the Grasslands and more difficult ones such as Mount Woodsen and everything in between. The only con is commuting for work, not a lot of traffic just the distance of you work in San Diego."
  • Amber M.
"My commute is very long. I drive to Coronado for work, and normally hit traffic once I get on the 8 West. "
  • Mandi H.
"It’s a small, Quiet neighborhood and off the beaten path. I feel safe here. People are friendly and willing to help each other out."

  • Joseph C.
"Clean, Quite, smaller town feel. Easy commute to Poway, Escondido, and San Diego. You can purchase a home with out your neighbor looking in your windows and have plenty of room for animals. "
  • Rosie C.
"Extremely rural, no sidewalks, ranch areas. Only one Main Street, speed limit averages 35 mph with lots of lights. "
  • Monyd2000
"Very long and at times very slow. It take 45 minutes to an hour to get anywhere. It is a good time to talk to friends or listen to an audiobook. "
  • Crackerk096
"There is a rodeo parade, Thursday cruise nights, fireworks on the 4th, the Ramona fair, concerts in the park, movies in the park, haunted trail, and merchant trick or treat, air show at our airport."
  • Monyd2000
"Every Halloween all the shops give candy. It is a family environment. People are nice a friendly. If you like farming you can buy land to do that. It is easier to buy a house because it rural. "
  • Tanner B.
"It sucks. There are tweakers everywhere and they are constantly stealing stuff. It is a nice little town but the tweakers completely ruin it. "
  • Onlyinkorea
"I am new here but it seems quaint and quiet compared to San Diego. I cantell though that many are starting to move here and I predict this town will grow significantly."
  • Zachary B.
"very dog friendly. everyone has a dog and walk them regularly. Most shops allow pets to be inside to some degree."
  • Little Lady
"It’s a busy street! People drive way to fast up 7th all the way down Ashley Rd to Hanson Lane. Beware pet owners!"
  • Trulia User
"The park in this area is really nice and could be within walking distance. The nearby school is close but a little run down. Other than the park and school sports there really aren’t a lot of things for kids to do here. "
  • Samlcooper123
"There’s a great boys and girls club not to far from here and a great community park right next to it. "
  • Janna G.
"We have a Christmas tree lighting an d small town feel. The neighbors are really friendly and I always feel comfortable walking around town"
  • Pamela S.
"It’s a quiet community away from the hustle and bustle. Mountains and hiking are only minutes away. "
  • Marcella t.
"There is an air show at the airport every year, the shops in town give out candy on Halloween, our church hold a 4tg of July party every year right across the street from where the fire works are let off."
  • Vanbuskirkboz
"I can't wait to move - my place is a nice place, neighbors are mostly ok, but I just don't fit in with the SoCal lifestyle. Can hardly wait to move back to Wa state!"
  • Vanbuskirkboz
"personally, I can't wait to leave! The neighbor's are ok, I guess, but tend to steal from me which isn't cool. Fairly quiet, except for Highway noise, but I live approx 5 miles out if town so I would expect quietness overall."
  • Liisa A. H. s.
"We have lived in this house 16 years today ! We love our neighbors !! It is a busy street @ certain times a day."
  • Sean D.
"It is a quiet town broken up into two parts: The Estates and town. The San Diego Country Estates is viewed as a higher end type of thing vs living in the town of Ramona itself. It is very country living."
