10/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI’m a current student. Do not bring your child to this school. I’ll be going into 7th grade this year, and all i can say is this school is so crappy. Loads of homework, the teachers have no respect for the students, the teachers don’t care about our mental health at all, I was being pretty much harassed by a guy at school and bullied by him and they did NOTHING. My overall problem is definitely the staff and teachers. There was one teacher in 6th grade that I really loved and she was the ELA teacher for silver team. She was great. Understanding, caring, and had fun lesson plans while also teaching us. I wish all teachers at this school were like that. It’s not that hard to be kind. And the teachers try to teach us to be kind while treating us with 0 respect and making me go home and cry. Makes 0 sense!! Honestly, there were some times where I saw some colored kids experiencing racism tbh. Hispanic and black kids mostly. And that’s really made me mad as a part Hispanic person. This school is just not the right one to go to. Can’t wait to get out of it. Consider bringing your child to a private school or somewhere else.Student Review11mo ago11 Reviews - Oak Grove Primary School

10/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis school is great it's so much better than my old one. At my old school they would allow kids to do what ever they want and the kids would sneak in phones without anyone knowing. At this school they are much more responsible, caring, kind and treat others well. The staff is great and the teachers are great to.Parent Review4y ago13 Reviews - Prairieville High School

"Sidewalks needed in many areas as well as road shoulders, for emergencies. The roads are so narrow that it would be dangerous to let kids walk on them, we need sidewalks."

"Neighborhood location provides easy access to I-10 for commuters going east toward New Orleans, and west toward Baton Rouge. Commute time to downtown Baton Rouge on a typical workday is about 40-50 minutes. "

"Not sure, I am always working. Maybe the suburban - rural feel and small town aesthetic & charm. It’s a family friendly area. Most people are polite and respectful."

"No sidewalks for safe walking. My area has a severe lack of street lights as well. Gets very dark at night."

"There are many activities in area for adults, as well as children. The lo cation is between two cities, one major and the other one medium size. Cultural activities are available and supported by the communities. Church worshiping and activities are plentiful for any denomination. Fishing and hunting is supported by all communities and the Cajun food as well as other favorites are available. "

"Prairieville has great schools, plenty of shopping options, restaurants everywhere. It feels safe and comfortable. It’s negatives are too many neighborhoods (over crowded), traffic is horrible, and the roads are incredibly bad and narrow. "
