NAGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI grew up here and my son had originally gone to elementary school in the district but work caused us to move away. We have recently been able to come back. After living in a Blue Ribbon, massive, top-4-in-the-state-of-Pennsylvania school, I can say coming back to Pitman was the right choice. People don't seem to understand that political correctness and test taking are now part of the requirements for education. But I can say that, in PMS, they do everything they can to actually TEACH a child, listen to and respond to concerns, and create a community of solid citizens. My son went from lost in the shuffle with an 504 plan to being a competent, responsible learner who excelled in subjects we never thought he'd have a chance in. All of this within 3 months of our arrival into the district. Naysayers need to put their comments in perspective and realize that, for a tiny borough, Pitman does it right!Parent Review10y ago5 Reviews - Pitman High School

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis school has been great for my son. When we moved, I worried about the small size of the school but it has been an amazing plus for my kid. He has been able to form relationships with staff, and students that he could not at our larger former district. He has so many options to participate in sports and clubs afterschool with out competing with large groups for a spot. The school feels like an extension of the community, and we are so glad we chose a small town school district where my kid was embraced! I hope this school stays small because there are just so many pros to this type of learning environment for so many of the kids in town! Great school, teachers, and student body!Parent Review2y ago6 Reviews - W.C.K. Walls Elementary School

NAGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI've been a resident for many years and have seen plenty of kids pass through this school. Its not a very glamorous school with a lot of resources, but it's got a lot of heart and great teachers. The principal is amazing and takes so much of his time working with the kids and communicating with the parents. Everyone I've spoken with from there is helpful and kind especially the guidance counselor who the kids just rave about.Parent Review3y ago3 Reviews - Check out schools near East Ave.

"Festivals constantly. Near the schools. Downtown has a fun local vendor event to sell local goods. Some were hand made and some bought from china brought to sale"

"Small, very walkable and charming with a variety of small businesses worth supporting on the main street, Broadway. For such a small town, you do not need to go far for food, drink, entertainment. Parks in walking distance, and I’ve heard the schools are excellent (though we do not have children yet). "

"Downtown is very dog friendly, many businesses put out bowls of water for the dogs. Plenty of neighborhoods to safely walk in, as well as some lightly wooded/park areas. No actual dog park, though. "

"Fence requirements are difficult in some areas. However, dogs are welcome in almost all outdoor spaces and even in some indoor spaces like breweries."
