4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI am extremely proud of this school and campus staff. As a full-time volunteer at DVMS, I have observed 2024 as the year of camaraderie with respect and excellence. Under the helm of Principal Utter, there is purposeful forward momentum at DVMS to improve not only test scores, but personal growth and ownership of students amongst themselves. The school received an entire grade improvement from the state of AZ over the last year. The vibe is positive and children respectful, which is quite a feat for middle school students.Cool story. A student rode his new scooter to school and left it in the bike rack. Unfortunately, an unscrupulous human jumped the fence and stole the boy's new scooter. Staff heard of the predicament. They personally took it upon themselves to donate and contribute to purchase this student a new scooter to replace the one stolen! THIS is the current culture at DVMS. Teachers and staff working together to love on and help students succeed in the classroom and in life! Bravo DVMS. Bravo.Other Review1y ago13 Reviews - Barry Goldwater High School

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI am very disappointed with Barry Goldwater. My niece was working at getting her cords for a school program in the mornings. She had no way to get to school before the morning bus, so she reached out to me to see if I would drive her. I am not going to lie, it was rough getting up an hour early and taking her the few times a month, every month. We did it and she worked hard. I was proud of her for not giving up and attending each meeting. Now she is graduating, and they said she did not attend all her required classes in the mornings and she would not be getting her cords. I am a teacher at another school and had those dates registered at my work for early clock-ins. My own principal said she would confirm this because she would always ask me, why am I at work so early on those days. I called and called Barry Goldwater and no one got back to me. I went down to the office on my lunch break, and was told there was nothing that the school could do at this time and someone would contact me. I left my name and number, and nothing. My niece just graduated last month without her earned cords. She was heartbroken. I am ashamed of the school. I myself even graduated from Barry Goldwater in 1993. Going forward, when my 8th grade parents ask me which high school I would recommend, it will not be Barry Goldwater. They have no integrity!Teacher Review1mo ago15 Reviews - Esperanza Elementary School

6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMultiple children left due to bullying before school year ended. Teachers do not seem to have the tools to handle what is going on. Two students got into a physical fight in class and parents were not notified. My child was constantly picked on by other students and nothing was done. Also witnessed principal holding a little girl’s wrist really tight and the girl seemed to be very uncomfortable.Parent Review1y ago15 Reviews - Check out schools near 145 E Jomax Rd #3.

"Fireside has community events almost every weekend. It’s a very family friendly neighborhood I would suggest anyone who is a young family to look here. We have 3 young kids and we love it so much "

"We have dogs and we love the dog stations around the neighborhood that supply poop bags and a receptacle for full poop bags. That helps keep the area clean. Also, there are plenty of nice sidewalks so you don’t have to walk on the road. So much safer!"

"My family has lived here since 1999 and we find everything a family or people at any age could want. Great public schools, clean, safe, friendly neighborhoods, easy highway access and numerous restaurants and entertainment locations within a few miles. Many of the major hospitals supporting Phoenix are located within a few miles; Mayo (2), Paradise Valley (5), and Scottsdale (10). Many miles of trails supporting hiking and biking. At one time this was a road bikers paradise ... not so much now with all the traffic developed north of our location."

"My third sale in Boulder Creek. What a delightful pocket community snugged up against the Mountains, yet immediate access to the 101 and 51 for fast transportation to Scottsdale, downtown Phoenix or, well, anywhere. Happy community of friendly neighbors who love living around an elementary and junior high school which are the center of the planned community. Costco a mile away, tons of shopping, especially Desert Ridge Regional Shopping Center is one exit away."

"I've lived in the neighborhood for several years and love the mountain reserve close by for walking and hiking, appreciate the community involvement with neighbors and love the easy access to the freeway as well as Desert Ridge and City North for shopping, dining and entertainment."
