6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageDon’t let your student attend Deer Valley if you are new to the area and your student doesn’t already have a friend base. Students at Deer Valley are rude, and will bully and alienate your student to the point your student will feel worthless and humiliated. Deer Valley promotes community and belonging but that is only if your student is already part of the “community “ and not new trying to become part of the community.Parent Review8mo ago17 Reviews - Sunrise Elementary School

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageTheir special education program is the only reason my children attended this school. Their learning center teachers and paras are the best. The nurse is amazing. Now to all the reasons I wouldn't ever let my kids attend here again. They allow bullying of all degrees. My daughter was harassed but not just students but teachers. There was a teacher who would make deeply inappropriate comments, barrate, and humiliate my child in front of her peers. My daughter was assaulted two weeks ago at this school for the principal to dismiss it. The principal man handles the children. No adult should grab another person's child because they are angry. This school is by far the worst experience. If you want a principal who hates children, front office staff who are unhelpful and rude, or teachers who bully students and allow other students to be bullied this is the school for you.Parent Review1y ago12 Reviews - Desert Sky Middle School

3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis school is absolutely one of the worst schools in the Deer Valley School Districts the teachers will not respond back to phone calls or messages you cannot get ahold of the principal she will not return your calls. The principal is always out of the office or in a meeting they have no concern about your children If your child gets in trouble for some stupid reason you bet you get a call from the school but they wont return your call if you have a concern. They are there just to get a paycheck they dont care about the kids.I can keep going on about how bad this school is but instead I will just remove my kid out of this school. The school district should do a real hard investigation into the teacher/ principal. No star's from me.Parent Review1y ago16 Reviews - Check out schools near 17211 N 35th Ave #F108.

"There’s plenty of good parks. There’s plenty of good dog parts too as well. There is still some homeless people that stay around getting off the bus. The HOA is very high over here. They’re always doing construction on the streets that seem like they have nothing wrong with them instead of fixing the streets that do need something fixed traffic is pretty busy over here. Some neighbors mind their business some don’t frequent car accidents, almost quiet area, though love and favor that it’s quiet lots of dogs over here, but people are not as friendly with letting their dogs meet other dogs plenty of food places, but you’ll get tired at the same ones over and over great access to all freeways."

"The community is friendly, people are nice for the most part. The parking isn’t as nice I live in a hotel suite and not enough parking and the parking spots are very close together that people hang the car doors. You can walk to stores even at night due to there is lots of lights. "

"Wide range of family demographics. Mix of young families, retirees, etc. No park in the square mile (used to be you'd go to the school, but laws have changed and it's kept locked up except for official school use. Yard sizes allow for there to be places for kids to play at home. Also, there are parks within 1-3 miles from this neighborhood, but none within walking distance."

"This community is absolutely the definition of a dog friendly community! There are several parks, as well as trails for hiking nearby, and dog parks. I’d say that about 85% of people I see walking in the park and around the community, have dogs. "

"I don't hear about alot of burglaries in that neighborhood. I think it's because several people have cameras, like Ring at their homes. Seems to feel a little safer knowing that if there was any mischief, the people could be easily identified."
