9/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageStarpoint is by far one of the nicest schools in the area, if not the best . The high school is only about 10 years old and has a beautiful gymnasium, library, and auditorium. However the cosmetics unfortunately overshadow the negative of the school to the rest of the WNY area. Bullying and safety is not a concern to the school. The bullying is often ignored or little done about it. Starpoint is also one of worst schools "cliquey" schools I've seen as a former Starpoint teacher. The reason of this is because kids have been going together since kindergarten. A lot of teachers do care how students perform, but it seems after teachers get their tenth year, some stop caring if they succeed. Some of the sports teams are consistently good and others go through cycles of winning and losing seasons. Starpoint has a wide variety of Business and Art classes but only offers a couple electives for English and History. Most of the kids are from rural area and you often see kids driving to school in their tractors.Teacher Review12y ago1 Reviews - Fricano Primary School

NAGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI love this school. We initially were in West Seneca when my children started school. Then we moved to South Buffalo and you want to talk about a culture shock well.... We moved to Star Point this year and it is so much better again. The school is on point. My second grader is not ignored she gets her homework the teacher reports every night in an agenda book supplied by the school and communicates everything needed. My daughter is challenged if the work becomes to easy they move her to something more advanced based on her needs. They have also ensured that the necessary tools are in place for her to achieve at the higher level she progresses to. There is a program on the computer that parents can use to follow their children's progress for the week.. Moving here has been a sigh of relief to me and to my children. This is the happiest they have been in a while. Also when I walked into the office the first day to get her started the staff was very friendly and attentive and made us feel; very welcomed. The principal had a 20 minute conversation with the kids at their level. This was very important to see for me. It wasn't all about business.Parent Review12y ago4 Reviews - Starpoint Middle School

8/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy experience at Starpoint Middle School was absolutely terrible. I truly hope that others will not have to go through what I went through going there. I am finally in the high school after what feels like FOREVER, just for it to be the slightest bit better. The teachers don't care about their students- they're clearly just there to get their pay check and just leave. Special Education students didn't get nearly the amount of support that they should receive. The halls are always dirty and disgusting, the sewage pipes always back up, and the list goes on and on and on. The teachers were just flat out cruel to their students and provided no support whatsoever. Sure, there were a few good teachers here and there, but overall my experience at this school was horrible- and that's to say the least. I do not wish this treatment given by Starpoint on ANYONE. Good luck at this school. You go to someone for help, and all you get is a kick in the teeth! Take it from me and do not send your kids here.Student Review1y ago3 Reviews - Check out schools near 7154 Rolling Mdw.

"It’s decent but going down the tubes compared to what it was while I was growing up. But it feels too much like home to move too far away "

"Great little city, I’ve always felt safe. Good schools and an AMAZING farmers market. Even the streets that the people here say are “bad” (at least for this town) are fine. Oliver street and the avenues are cheap and safe. I love it here."

"It’s about 20 minutes on the highway to just south of downtown Buffalo. I don’t use the bus system and they don’t have public busses running along the street where I live. There are a lot of bicyclists that go by."
