7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy children were transfer students and from my personal experience, it wasn't pleasant as a parent or for my children. The principal was very rude to me, refused to help, was very cold and unfeeling-My daughters first grade teacher yelled at the students regularly and even swore at the class. And my son who was in kindergarten was being bullied by older kids on the bus and came home with bleeding scratch marks on his face and when I told the teacher about it, she told me that my son was a liar and that those kids would never do that without cause. So the kids didn't get in trouble, but my son did...was it because he was new? Was it because the teacher was bias because she'd had those students in her class before? Or was it because my kid is hispanic? Who knows. But it was a terrible school, and I transferred them to another school for the following year.Parent Review2y ago8 Reviews - Mountain View High School

"It is a good mix of older established homes that are now being updated by new move ins. People often remodel or add on just to stay in this neighborhood. It is not an old neighborhood and also not a new subdivision. The shade trees line the road and people go for walks and say hello."

"I work in American Fork and drive there in my car mostly on the freeway. During my drive times the freeway is not too congested, and tragic flows at about 70 mph."

"This is definitely a college neighborhood, there can be crazy college kids in the area. Just the other day I was at my local gas station and there was a girl probably 20 years old who was high on coke. People are friendly and it’s definitely safe but be prepared for the unexpected, spontaneous, and sometimes irresponsible actions of young people. "

"there is plenty of room to walk a dog. the area is quiet. there is even a rather large park nearby. I can't really think of anything that they wouldn't like actually. there are a good number of people that also have dogs, and they like it also."

"I love this area. People are nice and mostly keep to themselves, but if you reach out, they are great neighbors. The schools are great. Close to the freeway and uvu and center street where there’s lots of restaurants and shopping access. You’ve got the Orem fitness center and a walking track where the mountains surround you! It’s a fairly safe great place to live:)"

"there is a little bit of crime and the kids around here do not have boundaries. The neighbors pile their garbage around the dumpster knowing the garbage man won't take them. The neighbors also heard cars and leave them taking up lots of parking space."

"We’ve lived here for nearly three years and have loved it. Yards are well maintained, neighbors are friendly (regardless of religious beliefs), nothing we need is more than a 10 minute drive away, yet we’re far enough from the inner city that the stars are beautiful at night. Really great location."

"Great easy access to everything sometimes the traffic is a pain but bearable. I don’t have to drive that much be everywhere I go is easily accessible the only Problem is State Street gets so jampacked at the time everyone gets off work that sometimes you have to sit through like three and four times to get through."
