We welcome you to the Cozy Canal Port Cottage, a cozy 1930s retreat where nature and nostalgia meet. Nestled along the scenic I&M Canal in Morris, Illinois.

The home isn't modern or overly updated and that's exactly its charm. Thoughtfully preserved with its original cottage character, it offers a warm, cozy welcoming feel with vintage touches, comfortable furnishings, and a fully equipped galley kitchen perfect for relaxed meals at home.

Step outside and enjoy direct access to the historic I&M Canal Trail, perfect for walking, biking, or spotting wildlife. Nearby, explore Gebhard Woods State Park and William G. Stratton State Park for fishing, kayaking, or picnicking by the river. You're also just minutes from downtown Morris, where you'll find charming shops, antique stores, and cozy cafes.

After a day of hard work or exploring the down town area, return to the cottage to unwind with a book on our cottage heated front porch that gives the cotage vibe listening to nature all around you.

**Seasonal Ladybugs**
Our home sits along a beautiful canal and near wooded areas. During certain times of the year, ladybugs (lady beetles) naturally migrate indoors seeking warmth to hibernate. While we have a professional pest control company that regularly treats the home, some ladybugs can be quite persistent and may still find their way inside. This is a seasonal and natural occurrence associated with being near water and nature and, unfortunately, cannot be completely prevented. We appreciate your understanding and hope you enjoy the unique charm of staying close to the outdoors. We have a cordless sweeper and other things to help make them disappear.

Short Term Renal

"it's a small town atmosphere but bigger then you think. I live in downtown Morris for 10 years now, I'm 29 and lived in the city and also lived outside a town with a population of 73 in deep country Wisconsin. Morris has the mix of both and seems to be a great place to raise your kids. Morris has some fun events, okay schooling, history, great children sports, not too far from Chicago and Joliet, and clean. "
  • Pdfessler

  • Pauline P.
