8/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis school worsened my mental health. Older PARAs were cruel bullies to every student they disliked, showed shameless favor toward those they liked, were especially mean to those who already had an existing trauma, and staff who were really friendly could not do anything about it and the rest did not notice or care. I was one of those students and I would definitely recommend that you do not send your children here. I learned from other Hopkins High alumni that this school is known for its racism despite its low efforts to be diverse, and from a backward perspective, it was all performative. Avoid this school at all costs. You'd be better off sending your kids to get educated in prison.Other Review1y ago2 Reviews - Hopkins North Junior High School

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageNMS is a truly amazing school with so many opportunities for students of all different cultures. There is a program where students take half their classes in Spanish, as well as two languages students can take: beginner and intermediate Spanish, beginner and intermediate French. There is an advanced math course that jumps up to two grades, and the learning style is a way that fits all students needs. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!!!!Student Review1y ago5 Reviews - Meadowbrook Elementary School

7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI have 2 kids who have attended Meadowbrook, and both have had great experiences here. The teachers are nice, inclusive, helpful, and communicative. One of my sons receives special services and they do an excellent job with that. The education is valuable and my boys never complained about going to school.Parent Review1y ago14 Reviews - Check out schools near 21XX Winnetka Ave N.

"Traffic is bad with two schools being so close together so morning transportation as well as rush hour traffic hit this area a little harder "

"Good family neighborhood. Many families that have been here for 10+ years. Fairly safe but I’m still cautious, keeping my doors locked at all times. "

"I’ve lived in Golden Valley for over 13 years having moved from South Minneapolis. As a first ring suburb, Golden Valley has easy proximity to the city, but maintains a wonderful suburban feeling. Neighbors are warm and welcoming. The city is vested in the population and community maintains great pride. It is a wonderful place in which to live. "

"pretty good place to live I'd say no bad people it's not too much crime or car break-ins. friendly neighborhood usually. just some people are a bit rude depending on who they are and where you are the most friendly lots of people walking dogs. only problem is hard to find affordable living it's not too cheap here. but it is nice community nothing too bad. only problem is in the winter if you have an apartment it seems that they don't get on the plow of parking lots very well. so you may be caught or suck in your parking spot and that's very inconveniencing"

"Down in the valley days. The Kelley neighborhood pumpkin parade and event. The firefighters street dance and fireworks. The firefighter open house is a great community building event. "

"I moved here unfamiliar to the area. It’s super private yet close to everything; dining, post office, Walgreens, major highways. It’s the best!"

"This location in GV is between Medley Park (tennis courts, trails, softball fields, play ground, ice skating, ice hockey, warming house and more) AND the General Mills nature reserve. The area is great for walking pets and meeting neighbors. It's a very friendly community that includes many young families as well as original homeowners. The best of both worlds."

"We lived on Waterford Drive for two short years and still miss the twin home, neighbors, and the wonderful area. Convenient to downtown and the highway system, with Wirth Park in your back yard. Grounds and streets kept immaculate. Great secure place for retirees and couples who travel."
