8/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageOur experience at Shadow Lake has been excellent! There is a great community, school and PTA plan tons of events thru the year, engaging parents and staff. Front office staff is always warm, friendly and helpful. The principal greets all the kids in the morning with a smile. Overall vibe of the school is happy and safe. So far all my kids teachers have been lovely, communicative and have addressed issues promptly.Parent Review2y ago5 Reviews - Tahoma Senior High School

8/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI'm in Cedar River Middle School this year as a seventh grader, and I absolutely love it. The teachers are nice and you can talk to them about assignments without worry. I'm on Team Kodiak, which consists of Mrs. Lommen, Ms. Wamba, Mr. Bills, and Mr. Hanson. When I was in sixth grade at CRMS, I was on Dream Team, and even though I didn't have all of the teachers there, they were very nice to me. I think the school could improve the buildings. Even though there were renovations at the start of the 2014-15 school year, the buildings are quite old and I think it would be best to build more room for the kids. There are 30-35 kids per classroom, and it makes learning hard for students when you can't get help with assignments. If those things were fixed, it would make Cedar River a perfect place to go to school.Other Review11y ago2 Reviews - Check out schools near 186XX Renton Maple Valley Rd SE.

"The schools are overly crowded and way too large. Everyone says the schools are so great but that has not been our experience moving here last year. "

"Great schools, generally a really nice place to live. Some people who have lived here for awhile are kind of grouchy about new people who move into the area. They want Maple Valley to stay the same tiny town it used to be, even though that’s not what it is anymore. "
