2/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageDuring the early days of the pandemic I was finally able to figure out what the heck was going on, and why the Manor schools were trying to put my kid in gifted and talented. My son is very smart but we came from a financially well endowed public school where the kids were academically where they were supposed to be or above. By trying to put my kid in the GT program it was a form of kicking the can down the road. After we moved my kid had to play a little catch up academically and when asked said that he was thankful we had the resources to move, and that even though he had to undergo a process to get into MNTHS, he was worried about his peers unpreparedness to advance to a university setting. Manor has potential but as it stands there exists some discipline issues( I was once at the school and quickly locked in a room as an all out brawl broke out, I paid and lost to sticky fingers and the fact there are NO lockers multiple glue guns and various school supplies. In the years between 4-9th grade there were some excellent teachers and I tried to support them either with supplies or volunteering but they need help! The district we originally came from( different state) all teachers had a para professional in the room, and way more peripheral help. I am confident as new homes are built and real estate taxes are dispersed this district has the potential to be great.Parent Review10mo ago18 Reviews - Bluebonnet Trail Elementary School

2/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageYou will be under resourced with chalkboards, 30+:1 classes. You won't be supported by "admin", you are the scapegoat for all failures of the child, even if the school year just started. Baum will say "this kid was calm in my office..." No **** Sherlock, it's you and a kid. Not you and 30+ kids. Rodriguez is a control freak and did the same at Hutto Middle School and made veterans hate going to work. The parent and student are always right, your experience, education, and dedication mean nothing at his campus. You have two principals who taught four years a piece with smaller classrooms 15 years ago so they can't relate to what you're going through. They won't model how to teach, just come give you a laundry list and come in sipping whataburger. Best of luck to any body who steps foot into this vicinity.Teacher Review1mo ago9 Reviews - Decker Middle School

2/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI don't believe the teachers or staff truly care about all the students succeeding. They play favoritism and only help those they want to. There's no guidance for these children and in sports they only choose the kids that are really good leaving the other ones to sit out the entire games so what's the point in even joining a sport just to sit on the bench wasting parents money paying to see their child play when they never even get time to play. This school is a joke! No wonder it has a F rating.Parent Review6mo ago11 Reviews - Check out schools near 6504 Boyce Ln #3204.

"Nothing unique about Manor, it’s like any other place. New places being such as grocery stores, restaurants, and other businesses."

"My commute isn’t too bad because I work close but it can be a headache for those who have to go into Austin regularly. Traffic on the main road in and out of Manor is pretty bad during peak times."

"Dogs without leash. Repeated lost dogs. Poop in yard. Presidential is awful and HOA doesn’t keep it up to date or make it nicer. "

"There are craft fairs, city events, American Legion events all within 2 miles. We have lived here two decades and watched it grow from a tiny farm town to the place everyone is moving to. "

"Manor may not have lot of shopping, malls or fancy eating places, but you breathe lot easy here. No pollution, noise, honking cars or traffic jams. Lot of new residential contraction is coming up here and is perfect place to raise the kids and family. People pay three times to live in broken houses built in 50s in Austin when you can get newly built house here in Manor."

"Many families here, school system is now great. Lots of home decor for holidays which is very entertaining. Tennis courts available close to the middle school all year long, same thing for soccer fields or basketball courts. The city is also very diverse and is starting to have more and more businesses opening. "

"It is a nice quiet neighborhood and much better than most neighborhoods I've lived in since moving to Austin. People are friendly but respectful of your privacy. There are lots of family, kids, and BBQ events here. People are also very helpful when you need it! "

"Traffic is really bad here but I believe the mayor is working to make it better sometimes it takes 30 minutes to get out of this Siri it’s because he’s growing so fast and has not expanded the roads to be able to support the growing community"

"There isn't much to do in the Manor area. Any fine dining, or entertainment will have to be found closer to Austin. The city is rapidly growing, so traffic, and crime is on the rise. Manor is a relatively quiet, and safe place to live. "

"Just need to be careful and prepared. Lots of pit bulls. On my first walk in the neighborhood with my dog had a pit come after me. Luckily I had defense and the owner came and grabbed it. "

"I think this neighborhood is really awkward to get to. it's literally like right outside the city, but the access to actually get in here is so chopped up and backwards it takes forever regardless of traffic"
