7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis school is crazy, there's a fight everyday. Half of my Pe class is failing because of a teacher. No one cares about your feelings, they let everyone get away with whatever. I feel unsafe as there was litteraly a fight right behind me in my history class.Other Review3y ago15 Reviews - Longfellow Elementary School

9/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageEverything was great until the schoolyear started in 2022. Parents, such as myself did not need to worry about what was being taught in school under the prior principal's leadership. It was this time when gender ideology was being pushed even towards the kindergarten level having story time books that are not age-appropriate, implementing gender-neutral bathrooms, regular parent workshops that involve the LGBTQ speakers, while prohibiting Christian or other religious studies - all under the guise of "diversity, equity, inclusivity, mental health", and that it was not a personal choice by the principal, but rather the whole of the school district. It would then be later on found out, that other school districts are not pushing the same principles at this age level, and was driven by whoever the school principal is. We are OK with the kids making their choice with however they want to be, but not at this young age - let them figure out on their own as they grow older. I would still recommend the school, but hoping they do not prioritize other communities in the spirit of the false inclusivity.Parent Review2y ago17 Reviews - Polytechnic High School

7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageLong Beach Poly is the pride and joy of Long Beach. It is a school that encourages the creativity and growth of its diverse student body from many different backgrounds. All teachers in every pathway are among the best you will ever find. From supporting nearly 4,100 students, all teachers are incredibly helpful and truly want their students to grow not just academically; but provide guidance for building character. All faculty and staff are kind, warm, and truly show what being a Jackrabbit is. Right when you walk into this school, you can tell how the student body and all staff are truly proud to be at Poly and be a Jackrabbit.Student Review6mo ago12 Reviews - Check out schools near 4437 Keever Ave #4437.

"I live here. There is a warm cozy feeling in this neighborhood. People are always jogging down my street or walking their dogs. There are many tree lined streets in this tract, with charming old historic homes. There's nothing cookie cutter about this area. We have old spanish style, cottages and bungalows. The people here are friendly, and welcoming. Shops and restaurants are at walkable distances. The freeways are conveniently located without being too close to hear. The weather is perfect, being only 4.5 miles away from the ocean. This part of Long Beach is the perfect compromise between L.A. and Orange county. I absolutely love it!"
