4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageAs a student of Colin Powell Middle School I wanted to say that I've heard many things about it being racist and to be honest it was true but with principal Ms. Fieri it has been nothing but equal treatment, I will not get into detail with experiences of racism as that was the past with a different principal, but other than that the the teachers give out homework that helps with up coming tests and teach the subjects very well. A flaw that i have found though is the special needs program being mixed with the normal kids, I see this as a flaw as sometimes they get chaotic and very rude so I just felt that there should be different schedules so the don't interact with the normal kids.Student Review2y ago8 Reviews - Check out schools near 236 E Neece St #2.

"Don’t live here. Overcrowded, sketchy, whole city reeks of weed. Not an ideal neighborhood to raise kids in. No parking whatsoever, you can’t walk outside in the neighborhood because it’s questionable. Cara get broken into."

"The parks have a lot of homeless people. Most streets have lights but don’t seem to be safe at night. North LB needs a lot of improvements. "

"Don’t move to Ackerfield Avenue! Some parts of the north are OK, and some are very very high and gangbang and violent activity ."

"The homless encampments behind our apartment make it feel real special. Sometime we get human feces on the sidewalk as an extra bonus of neighborly love. The city does t do anything to prevent this there’s trash all over we get no help"

"There are too many people on drugs and homeless people walking around all hours of the night. Keep a close eye on your children. I don't feel it is safe for small children to be walking alone."

"This place is terrible. Lots of feral dogs roaming and fast cars on small streets. If your dog runs into the street it will most likely be hit by a car."

"There are four stray dogs that I know of in the area around my street and they often roam. One of the larger ones chased me for a good while when I was on my way home one night. It’s also annoying how some dog owners do not pick up after their dogs. "
