Also if you drop your kids off on the side of the road you can risk getting your car hit by incoming traffic going to the high school. The principals often seem disconnected from what students actually experience day to day. When problems come up, it can feel like they’re brushed off or handled very slowly, and students don’t always feel heard when they bring up concerns.A lot of rules also feel overly strict or inconsistently enforced. Some students get in trouble for things that others seem to get away with, which makes the system feel unfair. Instead of focusing on helping students succeed, it sometimes feels like the administration is more focused on discipline and control.When it comes to teachers, the experience can be really mixed. There are a few teachers who genuinely care about helping students learn and go out of their way to support them, but others seem uninterested or burned out.
