Not a good school. Food is sometimes expired, and dont have many options. Kids are rude and fight alot, staff doesnt care about how kids feel. Will continue to give us a stack of homework that we didnt learn in the lesson and want it done in one night. Staff is very not lgbt friendly.

The other reviews talking about discrimination are true. As a student who went here the outlandish treatment I received from students, staff, and other board members is completely different from my peers. As a student of color many students would call me names say slurs or threaten to attack me, they knew of this and almost always the punishment was never severe enough and they got to attend school shortly after. The parents of these children know of this behavior and don’t care. If you care about equality and fair treatment, don’t go here. I’ve more than 10 different occasions where students called me the n word called me many other slurs and on top of that, we have student who go here and brag about raping and assaulting other students. The amount of language in the hallways that is completely unacceptable and teachers witness or hear these things and choose to ignore it. In the high school the teachers have power trip issues. Not all but enough for it to be worrying. I asked to use the restroom after our leaning time was over and the teacher refused to let me go so I went because I am legally allowed to use the restroom and this teacher was never talked to, punished, and instead I was for multiple days because I didn’t follow a direct order to stay in my seat. This teacher told me to urinate on myself, and yet I was punished. These are only a few examples of my treatment here and I have more stories, but overall if you care about having a good environment this might be the worst place to go to, Kokomo high school is better than this. NORTHWESTERN should be ashamed for how they’ve allowed themselves to discriminate children based off of how much money they have, race, and religion. If you aren’t white and rich just don’t go. Even if you aren’t go to a better school who cares for your children and their friends.
