9/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageNot a big fan of three falls elementary mainly due to two things, the principal and the counselor. The principal has changed so many things this year at this school, she is making it an environment not condusive to learning. She has been at 4 schools in total as a principal and none have been positive experiencesParent Review2y ago3 Reviews - Hurricane High School

6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI was a Student at Hurricane High School for My Sophomore year and I LOVED It! By Far the best school that I have ever attended in my life. I am so sad to leave Hurricane High School. I have so many great memories there. The Teachers are amazing and I Loved every minute of my time there. The Drama Teacher (Hill) is Awesome! He works Hand in hand with each student and makes sure that you succeed. There are NO cliques! I Loved that there were No Cliques, The Students at Hurricane were so friendly and welcoming to new students. All around I would say that Hurricane High School is an amazing school and I wouldn't hesitate at all to send your child there. Amazing Teachers, Friendly Students, Great Test scores, and all over just a really fun school to attend. The teachers like to get a good kick out of teasing ya but its just for fun and only jokes they would never say anything to offend the students. I Would not think twice about sending your high schooler here. GO TIGERS!Student Review13y ago7 Reviews - Hurricane Middle School

7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis school is horrendous. Absolutely horrendous. The whole TAG thing is the worst experience I have ever had in school. I have only had bad school experiences at Hurricane Middle. There are teachers that care but the majority of do not. I once tripped and fell and three teachers watched and didn't care as my head hit the ground. I also have gotten my glasses broken which caused my eye to bleed and the PE teacher couldn't have cared less. The fact that 9th graders have to go to a middle school when they belong in a high school is absolutely ridiculous. I am on the Debate team and they will not give me a bus pass to ride to the high school after school for practice. All they care about is sports. And today, the event that was my final breaking point in writing this was the fact that I was tardy to a class because the school supervisors failed to give me the information of when class started. This stupid belittling tardy has now ruined my perfect attendance record. It's absolute nonsense. Hurricane Middle, if you want to improve, here's a suggestion: learn to care more.Student Review9y ago5 Reviews - Hurricane Intermediate School

"I’ve lived in Hurricane for about 2 years and the house I lived in was ok. The owner however is very disrespectful towards anyone else religion and the worst person I have ever rented from. The house it’s self have very very very dated appliances that have broken down more then they have ran. Also when we do report that something is wrong and needs to be fixed it would take anywhere from 3-6 weeks to get him to fix anything. He refused to fix the AC while it was summer time and it was 100 degrees. But other than my experience with that owner the neighborhood is very safe for small families and per friendly. Everyone is nice and polite. "

"There isn’t really any grass around my neighborhood. Lots of rocks tho. Some of the properties have fake grass tho and some take the time to put real grass in. But most of everything is rock and dirt. "

"No public transportation and I have to drive to work which is a thirty minute drive. There’s always construction going on so there is always a delay "

"If you want to live in a safe, clean, fun family atmosphere then Hurricane is your destination. If you want to go to Museums or need highly specialized medical care, I'd suggest Vegas or SLC. "

"Hurricane is a small town about 25mi. north of St. George, UT. The town is known for it's outdoor lifestyle. People jog with their dogs 24/7, year round. There is a new dog park and several beautiful local parks, including one with a covered pavilion and splash pad. The city owns a beautiful pool facility and ball fields. The largest high school in the county is in the center of town (viewed as a mixed bag by residents, who's children go to school with those from 9 small towns in the area). There are fast food restaurants, a large theater, great community market, Walmart, a new family practice and instacare facility. We have most things that you would want and few of the things people move here to avoid. The biggest complaint about Hurricane is the 'good ole boy' mentality that pervades in the community. Still, with an estimated 40% of the town being former Californians, that has begun to change. Washington County sits on the Northern edge of the Mojave Desert. The North American Desert Tortoise Preserve is located next to the City Dog Park (at it's Northern edge and extends into Nevada). We get about 6" of snow a year, typically in 2 storms. The major industry is tourism, with many golf courses, bass lakes and Zion National Park in county limits. There are communities every 12 miles; which was 1 day's ride during the 1800's, when this desert area was settled. The biggest complaint about the county is it's disconnect from specialized medical care. There is a new hospital in St. George but it has few specialty clinics in it, other than a cardiac unit (which tells you who got to vote on that decision). If your child has diabetes, cancer , major psych needs or even a serious play accident then you have to travel to Las Vegas or Salt Lake City for quality medical care. "

"Hurricane is about 20 east of St George, UT. It's VERY small and has that small town mentality. The old boys network is in full force. Heaven forbid new blood try to get through the city council doors. The area is lacking decent animal care/concern. An awful lot of people are related to each other. Only ONE grocery store besides WalMart. No clothing stores - everything is 20 miles away, including the only hospital. On the upside, not much crime, very little traffic. The medical offices (IHC) are very close to everyone and has excellent doctors and PT offices. It gets hotter than hades during the summer but the winters are great. A little snow and rain, but not much. People who play golf seem to love the Sky Mnt golf course. I didn't rate the parks and rec because I don't hike, golf, own a boat or ride a bike, but a lot of people do. It's only 30 min from Zion NP. There are NO clubs for dancing and certainly no liquor is served. In fact, there is no nightlife in the area at all and it's a 2 hr drive down to Las Vegas. The dominant religion is Mormon. VERY Mormon. I can't rate the schools because we don't have children. There is NO public transportation in Hurricane . St George has some buses. "

"Coming from a big city, Hurricane is quiet and very safe. You never have to deal with rush hour traffic and St George is close enough to get the city feel but live in the country."

"Location is perfect - away from City congestion, but close enough for shopping, entertainment. Close to Zion National Park, and on the way to the Grand Canyon, and Utah's stellar skiing."
