9/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy son just ended 6 wonderful years with this school. It was an amazing experience and we are so sad it’s time to move on. Every teacher and administrator goes above and beyond for every student here. We are so grateful we are part of the PLE family! Can’t recommend this school enough!Parent Review11mo ago23 Reviews - Walter C. Young Middle School

8/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy son graduated from WCY last year. They have a very strong science department as well as exceptional math teachers. The English department could use improvement, but overall it's one of the only highly rated middle schools in the district that allows reassignments. Not to mention, the band program is amazing under the direction of Mr. T. I drove from Hollywood just for my son to have a decent middle school. If Broward wants to close middle schools why not start with the failing ones in Hollywood? Nothing but good things to say about Mr. Henderson and WCY middle.Parent Review7mo ago29 Reviews - Charles W Flanagan High School

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThe school tries hard to stay afloat: students are learning, and many staff members work incredibly hard. However, great teachers don’t seem to stay long here. The amazing English teacher left after what seemed like internal conflict. Meanwhile, despite constant complaints from parents and students, the worst teachers remain. I mean the Spanish and Media Studies teachers.Tracy Chandler (Spanish teacher) is the most concerning. She’s unkind, inconsistent, and grades unfairly - students get F’s and I's (!!!) on well-done tests. She treats students harshly and creates a toxic environment. My daughter, an honors student, received her lowest grade from this teacher after we respectfully raised concerns. Sadly, the school continues to protect her, damaging students’ well-being and the school’s reputation.Parent Review9mo ago25 Reviews - Check out schools near 1510 NW 113th Ter #1510.

"Even though it’s a safe neighborhood, parents should always practice safety and stay aware of their surroundings. Teach children about stranger danger, crossing streets safely, and checking in regularly when outside or with friends."

"My neighborhood is a family friendly community with great schools, there is a large park in the center of the city with smaller parks throughout . It’s a great city to raise a family . The police are very aware of the needs of o the people and it has a very safe feeling throughout . The city is only a few miles from the main stadium where the Miami Dolphins play and formula one races are held. There are many restaurants throughout the city it is the second largest city (next to Ft. Lauderdale ) in broward county . The city is about 15 miles away from the beach and 20 minutes away from Ft. Lauderdale . Miami Beach is.about 40 minutes away . It is a well kept city . "
