3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageIt was a bumpy ride I would say, the school made me feel like I had to be someone else in order to fit in but after learning my story was going to have a halt after 7th-grade year, I have finally found my school Cedar Grove Middle School, and that school is a 5-star school, and it's in supply N.C near the beach how peaceful it felt to know that I Found TRUE friends caring teachers excepted 1 but whatever, Grandview is still growing and even though I'm going to become a high schooler after this year, I know for a fact that when I'm married and move back I will definitely send my children to the school (for like one year I like the Beach!)Student Review6y ago3 Reviews - Hickory High

4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageAs a parent of two students who have gone through Hickory High School, I am saddened to say that I am very disappointed with the education that my second child has received. It's as if some of the teachers there do not care whether the students understand the material or not. The state needs to review the data and analyze the effectiveness of teachers who have a high percentage of students failing in their classrooms. It's one thing to know the material that you are supposed to teach and an entirely different thing to be able to teach it to fluency/mastery.Parent Review11y ago5 Reviews - Longview Elementary

NAGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis school feels more like a daycare than a place for real learning. It's frustrating because it seems like students aren't getting any valuable education— they'd be better off with a school of fish! The teachers appear to be either inexperienced or struggling in their roles, which makes it hard for kids to make progress. Plus, getting assistance from the office staff is a challenge, so don't expect much help there. Overall, it's not a great environment for education.Parent Review1y ago7 Reviews - Check out schools near 11-14 28th St NE.

"This is a very quiet neighborhood with very little traffic. Some young families are in the area as well as singles and retirees. The loop that makes 39th Street SW and 39th Street SW Circle is very nice for walking and you will often see families walking the the loop and children playing. I love living in this neighborhood for its quietness and convenience to Hickory- Hwy's 70, 321 and I-40."
