6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy child loves the school! Staff including asst principal have been supportive from the very beginning. Minimal fights from what I hear compared to northern middle (nightmare fights every day). Few things to address-Instead of children getting bullied I hear teachers are being bullied and mistreated - parents need to do better!Communication could be a little better as it relates to updates and school activities More resources to set youth up for success in employment/college readiness- maybe already exist but I am not fully aware. My child is thriving in this school. They currently take honor classes with hopes to pursue AP (highly recommend to enroll in if possible as this sets children apart to those who are little more focused/serious about their education/future)Parent Review4mo ago18 Reviews - Northern Middle School

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy student went to Pangborn for school year 2013-2014, we have since moved to another state. I absolutely loved Pangborn for my child, they were excellent with him, ALL of the staff! Communication between parent and staff was also excellent! I have absolutely NO complaints about this school or staff. They did all they could to help my child and we're completely fair on discpline. my child had lots of problems with school but everyone was sooo helpful and never made me feel like i had a "problem child". The entire staff did all they good to make sure my child got the best education he could while there. I've always appreciated this school and do more so now that my child no longer goes there. Unfortunately not all schools are as great as this one.Parent Review11y ago4 Reviews - Check out schools near 500 Jefferson St #502.

"My commute from Hagerstown to Washington, DC is long and demanding. Traffic congestion, accidents, and weather can significantly increase travel time, making the commute stressful and unpredictable on many days."

"I am trying to move out of this town. It has become a haven for drug users. I do not walk anywhere anymore. Panhandlers asking for money. Prices of homes are ridiculously high for this area. Hagerstown used to be a beautiful town. Not any longer. "

"I don’t have a commute so I can’t answer this question. When I did commute, the traffic was horrible. That’s the same for the entire Washington, DC area, though. "

"Downtown Hagerstown is not somewhere I would want to live due to the high crime rate, drug use, prostitution, and homelessness. However, the neighborhoods outside downtown are nice. "

"Hagerstown has a lot to offer as far as community events. If you look on the Hagerstown City webpage, you can look at community events. You may also prefer to follow on facebook for neighboring events. I have not lived there in that particular neighborhood for several years but, I do know people who still do reside there. "

"Lots of people have dogs so I don’t feel bad walking my dog or if he barks. Everyone picks up after their dogs usually and there’s plenty of places to walk your dog. Also a big park near by for running with your dog. Every dog I have met has been friendly and so are their owners. I wish there was a fenced dog area in the neighborhood but there isn’t. Closest one is a few miles away. "

"It’s ok. You would have to take them to the park to run in a grassy area. There are several dog parks in and around town. "

"difficult and slow about 40% of the time. Narrow streets with parking on both sides, no going delivery spots for trucks, and lots of foot traffic really all contribute to accidents and slow-downs"

"We have community dumpster days, bookmobile comes to the neighborhood occasionally, and we get visited by Jehovah's witnesses, even though there are signs that say no solicitation we regularly find notes and flyers on the door from various sources. Beyond that there is the occasional yard sale but community events are few and far between in the neighborhood. "
