3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI taught here for a year and this school is a mess. The only students who are getting anything good out of this school are the ones in IB and their experience is totally different than that of the other students. The ESL and SPED programs are not bad, but not great either because of a lack of funding and a lack of people caring about these programs. This is not to say that no one cares, but not enough people do.Teacher Review11y ago6 Reviews - Prairie Heights Middle School

3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI would rate my experience at this school as an intolerable experience I never plan to repeat. My experience was under the former principal (about two years ago), and I can only hope for everyone's sake that things have changed since then. I was a substitute teacher, and was the only one outside in 4 degree weather to get the kids off the bus. No-one so much as said "thank you." I also called them when my car was stuck in the snow (I live in a rural area) to see if they still wanted me to come in, and they said it was no problem, and to come in when I could. Then they immediately called the sub coordinator to complain. The principal and assistant principal consistently conducted themselves like middle school "mean girls" and stomped around self-importantly together. One of their classes was inexcusably rude (not that rudeness is ever excusable), and the principal and assistant principal proceeded to excuse their behavior and berate me, likely rendering their students unemployable if they hold the mindset that you can be rude and disrespectful to authority figures with whom you disagree. It was a horrible place, with the tone set by the administration. The teachers and paras all seemed to be hard working and underappreciated.Teacher Review8y ago5 Reviews - Check out schools near 5020 21st St.

"The upper side of Greeley has grown immensely over the last 10 years and the newer developments are the best places to live. New homes and slowly getting more and more amenities closer to residential homes."

"The only issue I really see with our community is people park in a disrespectful manner. For example, too close to the driveways. "

"It’s nice compared to a big city and parks and Mountain View’s are never a bad thing. Crime is low in my area and I feel safe... Just wish living here was not so expensive "

"Sure there are bike parks, trails and dog parks located throughout the neighborhood. Many neighborhoods are pet friendly and have trash bags to pick up after your pets"

"We've lived here for 2 years and the neighborhood consists of mostly larger ranch style homes on larger lots, so it has a quiet open feel. "

"Several dogs in the neighborhood. All well behaved and always accompanied by a human. Mostly small-to-medium sized dogs. Most often humans are routinely walked by friendly dogs."

"Good neighborhood, some home owners are older and salty. The rest of us help each other out and share phone numbers and text. Most neighbors watch out for each other. "

"It’s a bunch of hard working people that have strong family bonds. People are thankful for what they have and take care of others around them. There are multiple outdoor activities available and plenty of space to have to yourself. "

"Dog owners would not like that People don’t pick up their dogs poop when taking them out and there are signs in people’s yards asking not to let dogs pee in the grass "

"As long as they pick up after their pets, I feel they would be fine in any neighborhood. There is alot of people with money her so that means that lawn care providers spray lawns and dont always place signs that lawns were just treated. There are a bunch of puppies so parco has been an issue. That what I've seen living here for 8 years plus."

"It’s a quiet neighborhood close to everything you need. Two grocery stores are within walking distance as well as many restaurants and a gym. It’s located by a school though I’ve been told it’s pretty rough there. Great location during the 4th of July. Can walk or drive right over to where they’re shooting off the fireworks. During the winter, it’s relatively quiet and not much neighborhood togetherness but people are typically pretty friendly. There is glass on the street. I suspect from drinking the night before. It’s safe, but I wouldn’t let kids play outside by themselves... "
