5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageIm a current student at glenwood. It is NOT a good school. if you live in findlay and have a child going into middle school. Save Glenwood as your last option. It may be big and pretty on the outside but it's not on the inside. Not all staff is bad in fact some are really really great. But a number of adults in the building treat students with disrespect and act as though students opinions are irrelevant. They don't take serious situations seriously when coming from students. I love a lot of the staff but students and discipline is treated differently depending on the level of power the students parents have. For example if a student's parent is part of the school board and the student is in the wrong in a situation the student will not receive as much discipline as a student whose parent is not as important in the same situation. A large number of students get into fights are rude disrespectful and flat out mean. The school does not stand up for bullying and a lot of problems are ignored. The system in general spends way too much on unnecessary things like brand new BenQ's for the classrooms when we already had smart boards that work way better than the new ones. We also just got new laptops that aren't any better than the old ones. My point here is they don't focus on important things like cafeteria food that doesn't give kids food poisoning. Don't even get me started on the transportation. Kids in findlay k-8 have to walk up to 1.6 miles! The bus drivers can't drive either i don't feel safe on my bus. The bus drivers don't enforce masks on buses even though by state law you have to wear a mask on public transportation. Glenwood is super stressful and I don't recommend it. We are also below state average in a lot of subjects. The teachers can be awesome don't get me wrong and there are so many nice people. The school is really beautiful but when it comes to the health of students findlay could care less.Student Review4y ago1 Reviews - Findlay High School

NAGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageStarts out great in K, then goes downhill. Now in 2nd grade, my daughter's Math skills have reversed. She could add in preschool and now she can't. They push the "touchpoint" method. This is a process normally used by special ed students, but touted by a company that sells the idea as a way to pass the gov. tests. They use a form of behavior correction that utilizes class humiliation. Really? Rarely do they show appreciation for good behavior. We do the weeks homework in one night and it only takes 45 minutes. I have worked to "undo" the horrendous math "techniques" taught by Jacobs 2nd grade. There is also a vicious lunch monitor. Don't believe me? Have lunch w/your kid there. Highly recommend finding another school before it is too late. I will be researching whether we can get out. 5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThe only good thing about this school is Anna Welker. She is a great person who does a great job. The teachers are not consistent. The parents are not notified of their children being punished. For sticking up for themselves or their friends. The staff is not taking care of the bullying. Their response is oh I forgot to talk to them. Yet the child who defends themself gets into trouble, that doesn't make sense to me.Other Review3y ago5 Reviews - Check out schools near Carlee Ln.

"The Monroe Ave. area has a lot of crime. it is not safe and the cops are always in the neighborhood. there's also a trailer park at the end of Monroe that has a ton of overdoses. i wish i would've done more research on this neighborhood before moving me and my kids to this street. "

"I've lived in this neighborhood for 3 years now. I have learned that most of the older crowd that live in this neighborhood care more about how our street looks and they tend to keep our community nice and neat. While the other renters younger crowd tend to try and ruin and mess up our neighborhood. they tend to get the cops called on them more. so we stick to ourselves usually. its not that bad of a community though. "Good restaurants and great neighborhoods. Good parks to go to. Great for walking your dogs or just staying in shape. Findlay used to be the fastest growing city in the United States. Teachers that work in the Findlay city area are polite and understanding. Great "
