7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy son graduated from this school last year and I am thankful his time at East Lincoln is over. This school lacks in assisting those who struggle academically as my son did. The staff including the principal were notified that my son was struggling and promised to assist in getting him the extra help he needed but didn't until the last minute of his senior year. Because he struggled so much it caused him to fall behind two classes which caused him to be removed from the wrestling team. He was let go from his wrestling coach with only two matches left in the season. His senior banner that he received prior to being notified he was off the team was removed from the gym and thrown into the bathroom. I brought this to coach Ashley's attention and he stated he knew nothing about it. He stated he would personally make sure it was returned to the rafters where all the seniors banners hung but only after two days it was removed again. His wrestling picture was removed from the year book as if he was never on the team. I believe this occurred because he was put on a protocol for a concussion by the teams trainer when she stated he sustained a concussion at a match in which my son's doctor stated he didn't sustain. Yet another wrestler who did sustain a concussion was allowed to wrestle because he was a state contender. Because this wrestler wasn't placed on a protocol he sustained neck injury in his next match which caused him to have emergency surgery and a fusion of his neck. Shortly there after my son was notified that the new rule was that if you are failing two classes he couldn't be on the team. Even though he wasn't allowed to wrestle his coach and team didn't allow him to attend senior night and be recognized as being part of the team. The coach also cut down another student because he had a job as he was saving for college and treated him poorly so he quit the team. So in my opinion leadership starts from the top and the staff doesn't encourage their students or assist them to be successful. I actually had a meeting with the principal at the beginning of his senior year and when I was taken into her office she was on the phone arguing I assume with her husband and never recognized me until she was done arguing. I was their to have a document from the VA filled out by her and she even didn't fill it out properly. After leaving her office I noticed this and one of her staff members ended up completing this form. I do not recommend this school to anyone.Parent Review3y ago8 Reviews - East Lincoln Middle

"A lot of times people will walk around with their dogs with no leashes on. Having multiple dogs it’s quite anxiety inducing that a dog could just come up to you while walking around freely."
