4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy son entered into Citrus Ridge as an 8th grader. He has excellent grades and is an overall great kid. I was hesitant about this school, but it was in district and I could not charter him out at the time. I watched him go from a happy kid to isolating and down all the time. After months, he finally admitted that kids love to call him gay. They love to use racial slurs. They talk about drug use and are constantly disruptive. This happens on a regular basis and in the classroom. I took him out. He often complained about the lack of control by teachers in science and math. He said kids have no discipline and teachers outside of a couple brush it off. Hell I was told by the school counselor that kids will be kids, before I found out just how bad it was. We plan to file a report against those students. I love how public schools tot their all inclusive theology, yet they can't stand up to it right in front of their faces. Call the principle she may call you back once and she will never follow up. Car lines run 30-40 minutes everyday. They move kids from class to class without informing the parent. I have never written a review on a school. Please listen to me, if you love your kids. This is not a good school!Parent Review3mo ago13 Reviews - Davenport High School

2/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy experience at Davenport High School was overall disappointing. The academic environment lacked real engagement, with many teachers showing little interest in their students' learning. Assignments were often submitted without ever being reviewed, yet students frequently received perfect scores regardless of the effort or quality. Most instruction consisted of reading directly off PowerPoint slides followed by an online quiz, with minimal interaction or meaningful teaching.Beyond the classroom, the school's leadership was just as disorganized. The principals, deans, coaches, and athletic directors often seemed to be operating in opposition to one another—frequently butting heads and sending mixed messages to students. This lack of unity created confusion and inconsistency across the school. There was also a noticeable culture of favoritism, with certain students being given clear preference, especially in athletics and extracurriculars, while others were overlooked or unsupported.Overall, there was very little sense of community or care at Davenport High School. Students who needed help often didn’t receive it, and the environment felt more fragmented than collaborative. I would not recommend this school to anyone looking for a supportive, cohesive, or academically serious environment.Other Review11mo ago5 Reviews - Check out schools near 856 Chelsea Dr #0.

"It’s a lot of younger families and very diverse. It has changed a lot over the years, but it’s still a nice home. "

"There are not sidewalks in our neighborhood. It is a gated community but without sidewalks it is difficult for children to go outside and play anywhere but in their backyards. There are no pubic pools here for the children to swim and there are no playgrounds nearby. "

"Horrible commute anywhere. 2 miles takes 20 minutes during peak travel times. The lights are poorly timed so you often get stopped up. The communities often only have one entrance and exit that get backed up as well. Very little side roads"

"I’m retired but traffic is heavy as Davenport is quickly growing. There’s a lot of construction on the roads and highways which when completed will alleviate our traffic issues, but I feel like I have a little slice of heaven here."

"For the essentials the commute is great but traffic can change the length of time for drastically for the same distance that used to be a short trip. It has its ups and its downs. "

"Quite NEIGHBOUR and very clean with many green areas and a beautiful clubhouse that contains everything you may posso desire from the large pool to the tennis courts, gym and restaurant and a beautiful golf corse. In addition there is a lot of walking trails that allows for relaxing walks and pets enjoyment to the very best. Overall a great environment and absolutely well worthwhile HOA fees of only 129 dollars monthly. Finally, no CDD and reasonable tax rate for the many services rendered. "
