Furnished Home Available for long-term lease. Available August 1 , 2026
$2800 month

Lovingly restored 1816 Coventry, CT cottage. 1300 sq. ft on a beautiful pond. Original Chestnut flooring and doors. Fresh update / all new kitchen with leathered stone counter and new appliances. 2 wood burning fireplaces, brand new high efficiency oil heat pump, all new windows. The main bedroom is on the 1st floor with the full bath just across the hall. There is a 2nd bedroom and a flex room used as an office with an additional emptied walk in closet upstairs. The staircase is a bit steeper due to its vintage.

It is highly preferable to lease the home fully furnished (as is with tasteful attention to detail for your comfort). Potentially, some of the pieces can be removed with adequate lead time . There is a brand new 12' x16 " storage unit designed to match the home for your exclusive use. There's also a nice storage room under roof at the breezeway for utility and storage items. Wifi can be included for an additional $50 per month. Tenant pays electric and oil.

There is off-street parking for 2 cars. The home is best suited for 1-2 people who will treat the home as their own and who have verifiable income and references. UCONN is a 10-minute drive for a potential professor, faculty, or graduate student lease. The home is not suitable for a child under 7 due to its historic nature. If you have an interest, please message me with a little information about yourself and any other person who would be living in the home ( prior to contacting me for an appointment ). I'm happy to answer any questions. DIVERSITY INCLUSION OBSERVED : )
I will not respond to "Is this available" or to any message without a bit of information about yourself.

Home is available for long term lease.

"I have lived here for 30 years and love everything about it! Farmers Market is the best! Schools are great and so is the senior center."
  • Paul C.
"I’ve lived here for about a year and love my home. Neighbors are nice and friendly. Quiet place to live. Not many options for food, stores or entertainment. "
  • Katelyn K.
"Quiet, friendly place with lots of parks and trails in town and all other surrounding towns. Wish there were more sidewalks on the “scenic” roads to enjoy the scenery. Coventry’s farmers market is one of the best. I have yet to enough the firework done every year on the lake. "
  • M_muia
"Nice family environment, schools are good and crime is low to non existent. Little to no companies exist (need to travel to work)"
  • Wendy M.
"Easy to reach highways and access major cities. Nicely situated in a rural community with accessibility to local highways. "
  • J123
"It’s a busy road so not many people walk their dogs. There are parks that you can walk your dogs at, as long as you clean up after them"
  • P Watts
"Small town that is losing its farm town environment. The town has great people, schools and local mom and pop businesses. "
  • Gerry M.
"Always see people walking their dogs. It’s a little dangerous though cuz no sidewalks but the back roads are safe too "
  • Josh Z.
"I’ve lived in Coventry for over 10 years. It is a wonderful community filled with people who pride themselves on being able to take care of their family and their home. I wouldn’t live anywhere else in Connecticut. "
  • Samanthamartinsen
"community openness family people are open and not afraid to talk to each other. People look out for each other by making sure homes are safe watching out for strange cars just making sure that everybody that's in a community is known keeping everything transparent"
  • Alethea r.
"This is a quiet, residential neighborhood. Family-friendly, minimal traffic, great schools, very short distance to playground park and swimming, has a fenced in back yard, and short distances to shopping, and entertainment. "
  • shall1207
