7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMiddleClass white parent w kids at this school. Admin is terrible! They have poor communication and are disorganized. Steinmiller seems to pass off responsibilities to other staff members and can’t lead a school. This was evident at the open house for parents and students. I sensed he didn’t know how to run a school based on the disorganization of the open house and how he passed important questions from parents to the student docents. When their responses are inadequate he never followed up with a succinct answer. He couldn’t even describe the IB program. This Principal is a joke. They also don’t take student IEPs seriously and find ways to screw over your kid. They are not interested in student success. Teachers are often absent with many subs. Send you student to the suburbs and forget CPS.Parent Review1mo ago35 Reviews - Check out schools near 33 W Ontario St #9C35.

"I don’t live but I want to live here. Great area quiet. The best part is the east old town, the west old town is medium."

"There are multiple doggy daycares/dog salons to choose from in the area. I wish there were more Designated dog parks in walking distance."

"No dog parks. Pretty loud. Feel very closed in recently. I def like north of north way better than south of north. The triangle is way cool. Wells is great for the twenty somethings....almost unbelievable that the community has over 900 dogs and no dog parks. Sad"

"Lovely community. My husband and I have been living in old town for 5 years. Lots of great restaurants and places to hang out with friends. It is also a pet friendly community. Our dog have made many friends here. We love old town."

"You see people walking their dogs. Dog owners mingle with each other, and their dogs are very friendly and well trained. Great neighborhood for dog owners and lovers."

"There are expensive private schools. And public schools. And parks. And fast food. Not enough inexpensive grocery store. "

"Generally fine. It’s less than 4 miles so not a lot of impact. Certainly schools buses etc are challenging"

"Live here. You cannot find a better location to live in the city. 1/2 mile from lake. 2.5 miles from downtown. Walking distance to grocery store, restaurants. Great nearby schools, parks."

"Be careful, the busy streets bring additional issues for families with Kids, the public transportation is good here, but the buses seem to run relentlessly. Quite a few homeless here as well."

"The neighborhood here does have some characters that make the location less attractive. Better check out the schools here as well. Very good private schools near, public schools are hit and miss."

"Nice area and very convenient for the beach, wells street, and a 20 minute walk to downtown"
