5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating Averagei used to go to school here, and the although it is clean, nice, and uptight, they don’t give you the mental help you need. i was seriously going through something bad while i went here, and the only “help” the school counselors offered were telling my parents about it. they didn’t even set up sessions for me to talk about it. going here really drained me bad, and the teachers also need to grow up. they hire sad, depressed 60 years olds to teach 12-15 year olds, and what, they expect the 2 to get along? they need to do a better job at hiring people.Other Review1y ago5 Reviews - Maryvale High School

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI have 2 students in these schools and I do not know what these other negative reviewers are going through with the school but, I have to consider the Maryvale School District one of the top in the area. My children have always been given the extra help they have required over the years, the teachers have all been amazing through 8 years so far, the principals, counselors, admin staff, and anyone that you speak with about anything are all great. My 2 students have required extra help since entering school and there has never been any issue getting it. Even with issues with other students, once I have reported it, the situations are remedied. Great school system.Parent Review9y ago5 Reviews - Check out schools near 54 Bay Ln #2.

"The streets in Buffalo New York are terrible and need to be repaired and maintained properly, not just patches in the roads. "

"I have lived at shady acres 10 plus years. It went from a happy fun loving comfortable place to live with hundreds of trees ,great people and respectful neighbors. That all changed once harmony communities bought the place . Once they bought it you are not treated like a tenant you are treated like property, they have made up rules on the fly , purposely fine you without any notification increase rent to the max every year with no justification, try to implement illegal extra charges . The management is a dictatorship along with his boss who will never call you back on a complaint or fix any bad situation. Horrible place to live, Horrible management. "

"I’ve lived in the neighborhood for 30 years. Even though it has what’s considered a Buffalo zip, it’s actually in the Town of Tonawanda. Good schools, great Town services. The neighborhood is very diverse, I’m white and a lesbian. We have “traditional” white families and also many new homeowners are immigrants from around the world. There’s a new playground in the area also a Boys & Girls Club that is great for after school care. We are within walking distance of the Niagara River with easy access to both the 190 and 290 expressways "

"Lots of walking routes and plenty of small park areas. High population means for more dog encounters for friendly pups but also more sniffing spots for those that prefer to avoid leash meetings with others."

"I don’t know of any community events aside from Bingo at various halls, etc. However I, oftentimes , will visit with some neighbors ie watch the Bills, etc. Oftentimes, I’ll also meet people at the dog park which is quite close. People are pretty friendly, in my opinion. "
