6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy child went to this school last year and I was very unsatisfied. The leadership is very poor. Many of the staff members are older mean, rude and harsh when speaking and disciplining the students. There was only one school safety agent in the whole entire school. Also, the school didn't like parents coming to visit their child in the classroom. There was no extracurricular activities in the school such as basketball, art, dance, steelpan or music. The principal was very unwelcoming, unapproachable and unfriendly. I am so happy my child goes to a better school in another district.Parent Review2y ago6 Reviews - School For Human Rights

They always worry about to get every student involved in any activity even for summer work!!!Parent Review11y ago3 Reviews - New Heights Middle School

4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy journey with New Heights Middle School began when my son joined in sixth grade, and it has been a truly transformative experience for him and our family. Over the years, this school has provided a nurturing, engaging, and dynamic environment that has allowed him to grow academically, socially, and personally. The dedicated faculty and staff at New Heights have consistently shown their commitment to supporting students and fostering a love for learning. My son has been inspired by passionate teachers who encourage curiosity, creativity, and critical thinking in the classroom. The school's diverse range of programs, from academics to extracurricular activities, has helped my son discover his interests and talents while developing essential life skills.Beyond academics, the emphasis on values such as kindness, respect, and community has had a lasting impact. My son has formed meaningful friendships, learned to collaborate with peers, and gained confidence in expressing himself. The strong sense of belonging and camaraderie among students and families has made New Heights feel like a second home.As my son prepares to move on to high school, (can not believe it! ) I can confidently say that the foundation built at New Heights has equipped him to face new challenges and opportunities with resilience and determination. Our experience with this school has been truly great and we will always treasure the wonderful memories and lessons it has given us.Parent Review1y ago6 Reviews - Check out schools near 592 Maple St #1C.

"It can be dirty in some places and a lot more people can pick up after their dogs, but there is still a significant amount of clean spaces and captivating elements to this neighborhood. Along with the rest of the city, it has a charming characteristic that no other place on earth has."
