NAGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI am really impressed with Powers. They truly care about the children and their education program is above all else. My daughter loves going to school everyday. The teachers and staff are very caring and incredibly talented. Their is no better school district then Beloit Turner!Parent Review11y ago2 Reviews - Turner Middle School

4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI think Beloit Turner Middle School is an overall very good school (6th grade at least). I'll start with the band teachers. I think they are great because they dont rush any students but also try to kerp everyone on track. They also helped me whenever I didnt know how to play a specific note and were very understanding with situations students have at home. Next, there are the gym teachers, I dont know what to say about them other than that they are really fun soo I'll just move on to (one of) the ELA/SS teachers. The ELA/SS teacher was always very nice and understanding and always managed to keep the class under control. There were some students though that couldnt stop being a distrsction though (not saying any names). The teacher still got them to quiet down though and they are overall a great teacher. The next teacher I'll go over is (one of) the math/science teachers. They are overall a funny teacher although they stopped the class from getting obnoxious in a different way. They always managed to find a way to get the class to do work although some students havent been listening to their advice. The projects they assign us are always very fun and help us further understand the topic being taught. Anyways, I'll move on to the art teacher. The art teacher is always fun and explains what we are doing in class with examples and some of the students even gor to help. Overall, great teacher. The next teacher I will be talking about is the Tech Ed teacher. They were always very nice and u derstod our mistakes. They also were very fun and we did a Rube Goldberg project the entire class. Last, but not least is the 21st century teacher. They were in my opinion very funny and found a way to make every mini-project entertaining (we even did a memes presentation). In conclusion, I think all the teachers are really good.Student Review4y ago1 Reviews - Garden Prairie Intermediate School

"Beloit Township is not same as City of Beloit. The police and sheriff are doing their jobs daily. City of Beloit has some residential areas where more crime but I think it is safe for kids. The school system is well established. "

"About 15-20 min to Janesville which is convenient buses to Janesville only run certain hours in the morning and in the early afternoon it’s about an hr drive to Chicago suburbs "

"High crime rate and just getting worse. Nothing for kids to do but the big pool. The schools do try to help the kids. But too many parents won’t help and support our teachers. It’s always someone else’s fault. Beloit has great parks. Just too many idiots that want to bring drugs and violence into it "

"Betroit (not a misspell, trust me) has been “home” for roughly 30 years...run away...run far away. WI is a boring place to be, only benefit of living here is it’s close to Chicago. "

"It has public transportation but I need a car to get around. Everything is just spread out stuff on one side and that makes it difficult to just walk around. "

"The dog's are well behaved, with responsible owner's. Service animals need more legal awareness though in the area amongst the renters and rentees."

"Be careful letting your kids go out alone. There are occasional incidents of shootings and drug deals occurring in a lot of the neighborhoods."

"There are plenty drug and alcohol related activities at all hours of the day. Vehicles frequently drive fast and recklessly throughout the city. At all times there is a good chance of encountering panhandlers outside stores and at intersections. "
