NAGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageExceptional transition to school for Pre-K and Kindergarten students with extraordinary educators, excellent opportunities for family participation & community involvement. Parents and grandparents are welcome and encouraged to be involved with school activities. Students feel special & the teachers genuinely care about their students. There is open communication between parents/guardians and teachers. Bellingrath Hills provides a very safe environment where students can thrive as they confidently make new friends. Students leave well prepared for first grade. I highly recommend this school.Other Review6y ago6 Reviews - Central High School

NAGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy daughter attended 1st grade with Mrs. Wells. She loved her classmates and her teacher. Children are placed with other children with similar abilities. My child was taught everything during class time, so she was able to complete most homework in minimal time at home. There is a high emphasis on reading, and they even have AR reading parties. The biggest downside is the bus system, and that is run by a private company.Parent Review10y ago4 Reviews - Central Intermediate School

8/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis is my third year as a parent of students at CIS. I have lived in Central most of my life and not in the cliche. If you aren't in the Central Cliche, encourage your kid to fly under the radar. The front office staff is mostly nice, although I do not understand how they selected the Assistant Principal they did as she is the least approachable person I have ever encountered. I've attempted to speak to her at more than one event over the years, and she will just look at you like you are bothering her or beneath her. She will also interrupt you or cut you off if you are talking to someone she would rather socialize with. She does not seem to be there for the right reasons which is unsettling given her position of authority. I would like to say that she is the only one that does this, but honestly, it is how a lot of the teachers interact at the functions... like you are a bother to them if you approach them to speak. I'm thankful we have class dojo to communicate, I can't imagine how rejected the students must feel being subjected to that. Bullying will largely go ignored until your child finally stands up for themselves. Then your child is the problem, and they will be disciplined. Unfairly. Discipline is a joke and not consistent at all, often times being left up to the office staff, not the teacher or staff member who witnessed the situation requiring the discipline leaving it extremely disproportioned to the actual situation. They will also schedule the punishment days out from the initial incident making discipline seem more for entertainment than actual reinforcement. Academically, you couldn't ask for better. I find my children ahead of their peers and relatives in other communities and states. While I am satisfied with the level of education my children are receiving, I will be happy to be done with this school (and it's stuck up staff). I truly hope CMS will be better, if not we will seriously consider Central Private.Parent Review1y ago10 Reviews - Check out schools near Magnolia Square Dr #P16.

"It’s a 20 or so years old neighborhood, but everyone is friendly, there is one way in and out (so it’s pretty secure), and there’s a small lake (about an acre) in the back of the neighborhood that people fish and runners and bikers can include in their run/ride. "

"Family friendly, Shenandoah Subdivision is a great place to live. Within our subdivision there is a BREC Park, Shenandoah Elementary, Green Trails Subdivision, Southern Oaks Athletic Club with pools and tennis courts. Our subdivision is surrounded by many great sit down and fast food restaurants, grocery and drug stores, churches of many different denominations, movie theaters and automobile repair shops. St. George Fire Department is a mile away and they drive around Shenandoah Subdivision with Santa on the back of the fire engine and his helpers throwing candy. Shenandoah has the convenience of a big city with a small town feel. "

"There really is no grass to walk dogs unless walk about a 1/2 block by the stores where there is a field but by the time u get there the dogs have used it… so that’s pointless! Also very unsafe I have spoken to a neighbor and her first dog was stolen from her small fenced area…so soon as I can I’m moving"
