"You definitely need a car. Public transportation is not available in Bahama. Approximately 8-10 minutes to shopping and 20 minutes to downtown. "
  • Angie
"I've lived in this neighborhood for 15 years. The neighbors are very nosey, but I guess that is a good thing. the neighbors to the right of the house tend to get a little rowdy but they just like to party and have fun. Some neighbors lack respect so if you're crazy about your lawn build a fence because they will have a party and allow their guest to park in your yard and not even invite you over."

"In the 10 years we've lived here we have had no issues regarding neighbors, robbery, kid pranks, etc. "
  • wiz
"Bahama is a lovely rural community, but just a 10-15 minute drive from good shopping and a 20 minute drive to the cultural delights of wonderful Durham, including world-class restaurants galore, AAA baseball (go Bulls!), the American Tobacco campus, performing arts, Duke and UNC. Thirty minutes to the convenient RDU airport near Raleigh. Bahama is a great place to raise a family, a great place for horsemen. People around here are far from hicks...doctors, scientists, engineers, businesspeople, thanks to the influence of nearby Research Triangle Park...and yet home prices aren't outrageous."
