9/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageTeachers are angry, mean, do not speak properly, and do not teach. They direct kids to online software for self instruction and get upset if kids do not understand information or ask questions. It is a punitive vs supportive environment.Food is beyond terrible. Kids are treated like they are prisoners. No daily fitness and locked behind computer all day.Tons of fighting.Parent Review7mo ago20 Reviews - Midtown High School

9/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI attended Grady for two years (junior and senior) after attending a DeKalb County high school for two years, and the change was unbelievable. Granted, I took 10 AP classes during my time at Grady so my view is not holistic, but I absolutely loved my two years at GHS. I had many, many amazing teachers (notably Nichols for AP Calculus and Pope for AP US History), and I was heavily involved with the school's theatre and chorus programs. Grady students are very passionate about their interests (of which there are many), and the growing culture of academic competitiveness did wonders for my grades. That being said, the administration is kind of a mess and the school is not without its problems, but if you don't go looking for trouble you probably won't run into any.Other Review8y ago10 Reviews - Virginia-Highland Elementary School

8/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageWe are parents of a kindergartener just started this year at VHE - and we couldn’t be happier. From the principal down, this school is a well oiled machine providing students with a fun and engaging learning environment. Highly highly recommend!Parent Review6mo ago3 Reviews - Check out schools near 850 Piedmont Ave NW #3103.

"It’s a beautiful neighborhood with friendly residents. Proximity to the park and shopping is extremely convenient. Festivals can get loud and annoying but they’re one of the things that can be both a perk and a downside. "

"Just be mindful of your surroundings and watch out for drivers not obeying traffic laws. There tend to be a lot of loud exhaust noises late at night and it’s definitely not the quietest of neighborhoods, but it’s also the closest to NYC you’ll find in Atlanta!"

"MARTA is extremely unreliable/time-consuming even for short distances. My commute (driving) within 2 miles takes about fifteen minutes. However, during snowmaggedon, it took about 3 hours. That about sums up my commute, just trying to reach minimum of 100 characters."
