9/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageA few if the teachers here legitimately care about their students, and there is a few administrators that care. They take the time to learn the kids, there are those who don't care they are just there to earn a check. On a day of remembering Texas some of the teachers were more worried about taking selfies with other teachers then making sure the kids were being taken care of. If your child has a disability or if they are different at all, they will give up on that child, and will leave them out of every aspect of extra curricular activity. But on that note I am not sure if it is because they have a disability or if it is because they do not come from Canyon, TX. I actually over heard a parent tell another parent, oh you did not grown up in Canyon, how sorry I am for your child, since your an outsider, your child will not be included in any of the birthday parties, or anything, because we don't like outsiders. How sad for the city of Canyon, that they have that kind of attitude! You wonder why the city of Canyon has had so many children suicides in one year, here is a clue. When a parent makes a bullying statement like that, what must there children learn from them!Parent Review12y ago3 Reviews - Canyon Intermediate School

8/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis school is unprepared for any special needs child such as high functioning aspergers, etc. Numerous attempts made to plead for some understanding and some of the teachers to do a bit of research regarding aspergers to help them understand my grandchild to no avail. As a result she is petrified to proceed to the next grade and has dreaded a new school year since summer began. Her previous school teacher, students, sent notes of encouragement and praise of her abilities and personality when they learned of the problems she was having at this school; therefore, it is clear that she was and is a good student. Still maintained a straight A status, but hated every moment she was there. Bullied, ridiculed with no help from the teachers or principals. When she would cry, one of the male teachers insisted that she was obnoxious and ruined class for everyone - singleing her out in front of the entire class. It was horrible - she now wants to be home schooled. BE CAREFUL IF YOU HAVE A CHILD THAT IS NOT POPULAR OR HAS ANY TYPE OF SPECIAL NEED!Other Review11y ago2 Reviews - Check out schools near 2 Bella Ln.

"Short commute to shopping and children’s school for drop off and pick up. Police patrol the streets well, especially at night. I recommend the Canyon area to anyone that wants to raise a family and take advantage of no state income tax. "
