2/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI do not recommend the school at all, because as a autistic kid, they do NOT help me with my work, teachers rush me over my work, school counselors do not care about ur mental health because they only let you calm down in two minutes & make delousnal responses as “helping” before they make you go back to class to do work, they do not give us breaks the only break that we have as students is holidays, breakfast is now Litterly a bar, animal crackers & small juice EVERYDAY, students don’t care about their own grades & play the entire time, they all have bad manners & they are all chaotic & think TRUAMA is a total joke. Teachers are harsh, disrespectful & manipulative to their students, as a student in this school, as being a student having IEP, the Aid/IET is supposed to help me supposed to give me time, & supposed to give me breaks, which they did not do. They instead rushed me over the entire time, make me make all of our stuff do homework expect for one teacher. Their work is literally like a lecture of a single topic, their teaching is VERY HARD for the students, especially students with IEPs & with learning disabilities, the aid/IEP teachers think I know all of this stuff which I do not, only 1 IEP teacher helps me, Most of the time this school is mostly on lockdown due to fights at school. Students have bad language, They joke about rape, Charlie kirks death & even say the N word & the teachers arnt doing anything about it, this school doesn’t even let us go outside & chill out, they don’t even let us socialize, thsts how bad they are, I do not recommend being here & I do not recommend you to be in a school, if I had to do 0 stars of this school, I would do it.Student Review3mo ago22 Reviews - Southwest Elementary School

4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageAs people say in other reviews on how good this school is, honestly, is false. The bullying as affected me, as well as another students. Students will mock others and will get barely any consequence for their actions. Personally, on my first week there for 5th grade, I got slapped. The kid got only a 1 day suspension, which disappointed me. The learning is not so well too, with the class learning 3rd grade science standards in 5th grade. In plus, most students are failing all their classes due to bad behavior. Most of the students are not listening to teachers and make the learning environment unsafe with fighting physically and verbally. Usually, during field trips, Southwest Elementary is known for their bad behavior. Even when getting told multiple times to stop talking so the teacher can speak, students still don't listen. Bullying is rare but teasing is common, and can lead to arguments that cause ALOT of drama. Fights are talked about a lot in Southwest elementary, with fights sometimes happening too. Principals have to get involved when the teacher can't take it anymore. I've had multiple teachers yell at the class to stop talking but they just can't, so the teacher is left defeated and drained. I feel bad for these teachers. The bus experience is not so well too. With fights happening often on the bus. Sometimes students yell bad words and throw food around, which makes the bus driver to turn around back to the school. This happened around 3-5 times to me, and makes me rush since I have tutoring after-school. The Gifted program is pretty good, with projects that challenge students with their creativity. Overall, the school is not so good but I have made many friends, with some people more friendlier then from my old school, and with a lot of amazing teachers. But this school is not the best to go to if you want your child to have a good education.Other Review11mo ago6 Reviews - New Hampstead High School

"Savannah is charming and beautiful, with its oak-lined squares and cobblestone streets. While there are great family activities, much of the nightlife and culture leans toward adult tourism "

"The traffic and lack of quality dog parks. Much of savannah is dog friendly with tons of green space. But your dog must be well socialized, or even better yet fully service trained. Based on the wide variety of events and activity going on in an urban environment. AND ITS HOT"

"The neighborhood and sidewalks need completely revamp. There’s been construction on the road for months. A police presence very visible because of the college, but the neighborhood itself is not being taken care of. Definitely need some neighborhood counseling."
