6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI hate this school. So many issues i won’t be able to fit all into a 2500 character limit. my dad came to pick me up one day and just walked into the school and had access to every single classroom. nobody questioned him. and when he picked me up there was no staff anywhere to be seen so he just left with me. now imagine if he had just kidnapped me or was a school shooter. he had full access to to the entire school. they make it seem like they care about everyone but nothing is done about any sort of misbehavior or misinformation. i had food thrown at me every day for a year and nothing was ever done about it. there is hardly any supervision. most teachers are nice and care about students. the whole referral system is abused. i got a referral for taking too long to go to the bathroom. for context, i was in orchestra and had to go all the way around the entire building to go to the bathroom because the gym is always locked. i can’t do that in the 5 minute time limit they give for smart pass. i got called down to the office and told i got a referral but they were very rude about it, saying that i should just go faster. i physically can’t go any faster it’s on the other side of the building and if i run in the halls you’re going to give me a referral, so i don’t see the point. they make all these great promises that they never follow through with. there are a lot more issues but i don’t have time to write them all. do whatever you can to keep your kid out of this school.Student Review7mo ago8 Reviews - Roosevelt Elementary School

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageWe recently relocated from the east coast and our son started first grade at Roosevelt. I don't think we would have never found a better school. His teacher, Ms. Fors, is a top notch teacher. Having taught special education for nine years and now teaching mainstream 1st grade, she quickly found our son to be ADD. During his first few weeks of school, he was disruptive in class and required one on one teaching. After being tested by a local pediatrician, our son was diagnosed with ADD and ADHD. He was put on medication and the difference has been astounding! He now excels in school and we were told that we should have him tested for the gifted program. The principal, Mrs. Michelle Olsen, is also wonderful. We have gotten to know her personally, as well as professionally. She has shown that she has our child's best interests at heart. We were very skeptical of this school when we saw a School Rating of 5, but given our experience, we can't help but to give this school a 10.Parent Review12y ago5 Reviews - Check out schools near 9999 Bumpy Rd.

"More people here have a dog or animals. They really like dogs here. Most restaurants let you bring them to there outside patios and decks.Unfortunately the wild life here will take your dogs down. "

"Not a nice side of town. Drugs are evident. The airport is right next to the park. Heavy traffic areas"

"My neighborhood is quiet and safe. There is access to a bus stop down the street, a park that is only 2 blocks away and if you walk a few more blocks north, you can see the ocean."

"I love this neighborhood. We are right between Sequim and Port Angeles WA. We are minutes from the discovery trail . great for biking, horseback, or just a great walking area. There are two grocery stores within walking distance. The mountain view is spectacular. This is a very quiet and safe neighborhood"
