"Not much to say, small town vibe on the middle of large cities. Decent jobs just gotta look for em. Community comes together every now and then with events so that’s a plus. It’s a good place for sure just have to like small towns "
  • John Monroe
"The area is ok. I have lived here all my life. Could use better side walks in most places but otherwise great place up live "
  • Allison Lacy
"It’s safe and kid/ pet friendly. Not a lot of places the kids can go and play except for the park. Otherwise I have lived here 7 1/2 yrs. "
  • John Monroe
"It’s a good area for sure and good school districts! Got a lot of planes flying around with Lockheed down the road too "
  • Trulia User
"I've had many great memories here high school , moved away came back. I guess it's easier to .come home 🏡 "
  • Allison L.
"Community clean up, food and clothing drives, carnivals, live bands etc ; Senior care act, Holiday parades, Picnic st the pond for families night, swimming parties at the City park pool ... "
  • Starla J.
"I see people walking their dogs all the time. I have two dogs and they are completely accepted and welcomed in the area."
  • Kaitlin M.
"Events for families hosted by the police department. Community involvement with church events, they will have parades too. "
  • Shauntea W.
"They do not have public transportation that would be helpful in the community But all around I feel safe and don’t mind my kids growing up here"
  • Mike A.
"military jets taking off, the police really do a good job of keeping crime down. everything you need isnt too far away"
  • Shavinajackson
"just moved over here a week ago i have saw a lot of thing happen the people that stay on top of us are loud kids are "
  • Kariann H.
"movies in the park every Friday of the summer parade of light for Christmas and 4th of July school wide functions "
  • Kariann H.
"we have many parks of different sizes an active youth Association and family friendly community events throughout the year"
  • Erik W.
"The city has a wonderful 4th of July celebration and other events throughout the year like Chili cook offs and other things."
  • Sylvia Jackson
"Great place to raise your children. Don't really have to worry about them. The people are very nice to. My children live walking down to Central Park to meet there friends and play and I'm never scared about if they are ok or not. I want to continue to live in this area. We feel safe here."
  • Lorenda A.
"You see stray or dumped dogs frequently and people do not seem to teach their dogs basic ‘manners’. Dogs will come at you or your leashes dog aggressively and without being leashes themselves. Other dog owners will specifically use neighboring front lawns for their dogs’ business and with leashed dogs will allow the animal to be in control so there are many fight close calls and potential incidents invoking cars."
  • Spencer W.
"This neighborhood is no different than any other American neighborhood. The only unique thing about it is that it is by an air base, so on top of everything you constantly have to listen to jets which you think couldn’t possibly get any louder, and then you realize you’re wrong, over and over again. It literally sounds like they’re falling out of the sky sometimes."
  • Pinto E.
"There’s a lot of noise, lot of construction, kids yelling, dog fights, arguments, etc. Typically one wouldn’t walk around at night but the crime right isn’t AS bad as people think. Lot of drug addicts but that’s not unique in America"
  • Jaqua20012003
"Always keep an eye on your kids no matter where you live but this neighborhood looks out and is very quiet."
  • Debbieaguas
"I’ve lived here for almost 14 years. My dog walks and I roll around The neighborhood at all hours. Neighbors are nice friendly and watch out for each other."
  • Brendenw075
"Quiet Area Clean easy parking in front of buildings night security nice area to grow a family and socialize "
  • Lleito
"Small town easy access to 820 and I30. Planes are bothersome at times but nice to have all needed stores nearby."
  • Debbieaguas
"Easy. Short. Doesn’t take a long time. Sometimes traffic is bad on the freeway. Not too often though. Police presence is greatly appreciated and welcomed. "
  • Keeki43
"Everyone has dogs and cats and we love them, I think the reason we don't see a lot of people walking their dogs because we all have big back yards!"
