4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI want to express my extreme disappointment with this school, particularly the kindergarten program. My son was enrolled in kindergarten, but unfortunately, we had terrible experiences that led us to withdraw him and enroll him in a different school. The primary issue was with his teacher. She isolated him by placing his desk away from the other students. Despite our attempts to collaborate and find a solution, the teacher instead portrayed him as a problem child. This was particularly concerning because his behavior was never an issue with his bus drivers or at daycare.Since transferring to a new school, my son, now in second grade, has thrived without any behavioral problems. This experience highlights a significant need for better teacher training at Southworth, especially in classroom management and problem-solving. It is crucial for educators to work collaboratively with parents to support each child’s unique needs.Parent Review9mo ago15 Reviews - Yelm High School 12

4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThe school district allows bullying, and has bullied kids themselves. As well as not respecting people's votes or voice when it comes to the levy's, or anything. Teachers frequently strike. Last year they bribed students to walk out with them with a pizza party at the city park. Not a good district at all.Other Review1y ago10 Reviews - Yelm Middle School

7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageOverall experience in the last two years has been mediocre. Communication (at best) is subpar. Parents are not informed of necessary things (i.e. bus routes being cancelled, happenings within the school) in a timely manner. The physical education classes are run by faculty who treat the kids like it’s a military camp. The PE department as a whole needs an entire overhaul with faculty that actually cares about the kids.Parent Review4y ago6 Reviews - Check out schools near 98513 Radius Loop SE.

"I've owned my home in this safe west side neighborhood. There has been only one crime that I know of in my entire 30 years. My neighbors are diverse, educated and stable. I regularly walk to shopping and around Capital lake and even at night without fear."

"There are many street people and the bars are loud. It doesn’t feel very clean or safe. There is also quite a bite of vandalism and graffiti and the police do not even come out for that. I love my apartment and the view, but it is not easy to live downtown."
