8/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI graduated from TNT in 1984 and I went on to college at San Diego State University where I graduated with a bachelors degree in aerospace engineering. I was also accepted at UCLA into their aerospace engineering program. But university of California is a lot more expensive then the state school system. Tahoe Truckee high school was awesome for me. I graduated third in my class. I was involved with student counsel, baseball, basketball. My junior year (83) of playing basketball we won the Nevada AA state championships. My senior year we lost in the first round.Other Review8y ago - Truckee Elementary School

6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThe ratings for Truckee El are severely outdated. With a new Principal and a demographic shift due to COVID, this school is really a fantastic place for a kid to be. My little one loves to goto class each day, has a great group of friends with diverse backgrounds, and the school does a great job not “skipping” the arts. The mobile apps and weekly emails make it easy to stay tuned as a parent. Couldn’t be happier.Parent Review1mo ago - Alder Creek Middle School

"too much traffic on my hill . Snow plow makes a berm.... must stay on top of it. Keep plenty of wood. Nice in the spring and summer. I like the music in the park and at Squaw in good weather. winter utilities are high. Fuel is high . Shopping in Re.no is much better price wise. "

"Truckee is a great place to have a dog or multiple dogs. There are national parks and open spaces where dogs can run off leash safely without the danger of cars. If you don’t have a tracker or if your dog doesn’t return on command then you might want to think about keeping them on a leash. There is a lot of wild life to make your dog run off and get lost. "
