The principal has lied to me and my wife on multiple occasions about the bullying of our daughter. When the teacher tried to do something about it she was reprimanded for reprimanding the student who was bullying our daughter. We removed our children from this school and homeschooled them. They have excelled in their learning. They also could not keep our one son from being bored to death in his class. He was not challenged by the work the school gave him. He would have his homework done before he left class and still had time and got in trouble for disrupting the class.

"I love watching the Amish in their buggies. People stop and help when you have car trouble. Lots of hiking nearby."

"Biggest concern is deer. They like to jump out in front of cars. I recommend getting deer whistles for your car. Also, speed limits seem to be just suggestions, as no one follows them. "

"We’ve lived in this area for 10 years, it is a wonderful place to raise your children and vacation! There are many lakes for sports and a beautiful river for floats. We love it here"

"Gladwin is the county seat. There are numerous events throughout the year that involve the various neighborhoods. Many are coordinated by the Chamber of Commerce. "

"Lake living which entails water sports and fishing. There are many golf courses in the area under a sixty minute drive that are reasonably priced. The drive from Troy is a little over an hour drive."

"I moved here 21 years ago and love the peace and quiet. It is truly a sportsperson's paradise. I own a Construction and Property Management Company. I wouldn't live or work anywhere else. It's location is under a hours drive to Mt Pleasant & Midland Just 1.5 hours to Lansing & Traverse City. It's location is perfect to escape the stress of city life, yet close for your guests and family to travel to visit! "
